Enzo looked over to Bianca fondly. “She’s really beautiful. It’s hard letting her go.”
I ground my teeth as he moved toward her, blondie smirking at me. Enzo ran his knuckles along her cheek, a grin on his face.
“Beautiful women are often the downfall of powerful men,” he said softly as I worked hard to restrain myself. “You should count yourself lucky to have been fortunate enough to capture such a beauty. I imagine she’s quite a handful. She gave us a run for our money.”
“Don’t fucking touch her,” I said in a dangerous whisper, clenching my hands into fists. “No one fucking touches her.”
“Well, except your boy here,” Blondie said with a smile. “It’s cool though. I’m definitely not judging. I let my boys fuck my girl too.”
“Cole,” the blue-eyed, beanie-wearing guy snapped.
Blondie, or Cole as I’d just learned, grinned. “Fox doesn’t like when I tell people I let him fuck my girl.”
“Fuck off, Cole,” Fox snapped.
“She’sourgirl,” the other guy spoke up. “Not just yours.”
“E, come on, now. You’re working against me here. I’m trying to explain things to our new friend,” Cole said, shaking his head and giving me a smile. “I figured he’d understand our dynamic. Do you guys all get to fuck the viper?” He gestured with his gun to Bianca. “Bet she’s a fuck of a lot of fun in the sack.”
“I’m not here to discuss shit with you about what we do with our girl,” I said, glaring at him. “I’m here to free her and explain to you that I didn’t do what you’re accusing me of.”
“We have the calling card. We have people who said it was the kings who carried out the shooting,” Enzo said.
“They’re obviously wrong. That night was my wedding reception. I was with my wife and my guys at the reception. I was nowhere near wherever the fuck you were. Trust me when I say when I’m going to kill people, I own up to it. I don’t slither off and hide. If I wanted you dead, you already would’ve been.”
Enzo glanced from Bianca to me. “What would you have me do, Dominic? Huh? Free you and your girl and your crony and then hope you don’t make good on your ability tokillpeople? You understand where I’m coming from, right? It’s just business.”
“It’s notmybusiness,” I said. “You’re bringing a war to your doorstep that I don’t think you can fight.”
“There won’t be a war if you’re dead,” he said thoughtfully. “I was actually thinking maybe we’d just keep your girl and have a little fun with her. I’ll even pay you for her. How much, De Santis? From what I gather, you’re in the market of buying and selling women. Besides, everyone has a price.”
“Fuck you. You have me confused with my father.” I seethed, my body quaking. “Our deal was you release her, and I die. I want to see her walk out of here before I get on my knees for you.”
“That’s going to be a problem since E drugged her.” Enzo sighed.
“E’s tender hearted.” Cole gestured to the quiet guy standing off to the side. “He didn’t want her to see us kill you guys. That was nice of him, huh?”
I ignored Cole. “Let me call one of my men in here to get her out. That’s it. You can pat him down and do whatever. He takes her out, and then you have me and Vin. You can gut us any way you like.”
Cole’s eyes lit up as he glanced over to Enzo, who studied me with narrowed eyes.
“She’s my wife,” I said softly. “I want her to be safe. Let her go. Let one of my guys get her out of here. If you want to kill me and Vin, then fine. Just let her get to safety. She’s done nothing wrong. She doesn’t deserve this.”
“Yet you fucked and married her and brought her right into the center of it. Strange how good pussy does that to a man,” Enzo murmured. “I’d think if you were a stronger man and really loved her, you’d let her go.”
“Do we have a deal or not?” I demanded, tiring of the conversation.
“Perhaps.” Enzo nodded. “I do have a few questions though. If you don’t mind.”
I cast a quick peek at Vin, whose eyelids were drooping. He didn’t have much longer in this world if I didn’t get him some help soon.
“Make it quick,” I snarled, looking back to Enzo.
“Is it true you knew Macy?”
The ugly memory of her sucking my dick right before her brains splattered on my face flashed through my mind.
“Yes.”
