Days passed quickly by, and yet, they barely moved at all. I’d lost all track of time as I stayed locked in my prison. Tate came and went, each visit making me realize this really was my life now. He’d been right. If my kings wanted me, they’d find me. Nothing would stop them. The truth was agonizing, but I was fast learning that maybe I didn’t deserve a happily ever after. I’d made Dominic think I didn’t want him anymore. This was the price to pay for my sins.

I was lost in those thoughts when the door opened. I sat up, hoping I’d get to eat and get through another day. What for was beyond me. Some part of my brain just wanted to live.

“So eager?” Tate asked, the door locking behind him. He approached me slowly, a wicked glint in his eyes, as my pulse rose.

“I have something for you.Ifyou’re a good girl for me,” he said, stopping in front of my bed. “Are you a good girl, Bianca?”

I was so hungry I was nearly losing my mind.

“Yes,” I answered softly.

“Yes, what?” He cocked his head at me.

“Yes, I’m a good girl,” I answered thickly.

“Whose good girl?”

I licked my lips, the answer making me ill.

“Y-Yours,” my voice shook.

A smile curled his lips up as he reached for me and cradled my face. He stared down at me for a moment

“Get on your knees for me,” he said, releasing me.

He didn’t need to show me the food. He always pulled it from inside his jacket. I knew sustenance was within reach.

I slid off the bed and went to my knees, bowing my head.

“I love watching a queen submit,” he said, his voice soft.

I swallowed hard, my heartbeat in my ears.

“Are you hungry, Bianca?”

“Yes.” No sense in lying. I was starving.

The movement of his hand rubbing his jean-clad cock made my breath hitch in my chest.

Please no.

“I thought we’d try something different today. I thought maybe you could earn your meal.”

My guts clenched.

“If you want to eat,” he continued. “I’ll need you to do what you do best.”

I knew what he was implying. I wasn’t a fool.

But I just couldn’t. I wouldn’t.

“No,” I whispered, the fear of his reaction making the nausea church harder and faster in my stomach.

I tensed, waiting for his response. It usually came in the form of some sort of physical violence.

“I see,” he said. “I guess we’re going to play that game, huh?”

He stepped away from me, leaving me on my knees. He didn’t stop moving until he reached the door.
