We really would see. Because I’d made up my mind. I was still in. I was still going to be the one to grab her.

Bianca De Santis still belonged to me.

I’d prove it to every motherfucker.

CHAPTER29

Bianca

Iwoke up alone the next morning and groaned as I sat up. My head throbbed. I shoved the blankets back and swept my legs over the edge of the bed and just sat there, taking in the rumpled t-shirt I was in. I thought I’d slept in my robe, but hell, at this point who knew. And who really cared.

My memory of the night before was fuzzy, but I could have sworn Dominic had been in here. But he always stayed, and I was alone.

The door opened, and I looked over to see Levin come into the room, carrying breakfast items and coffee.

“Oh, thank God,” I said, my stomach giving a growl.

He smiled and placed the food and coffee on the bedside table and dropped a kiss on the top of my head.

“How are you feeling?” he asked, sitting beside me.

“Like there’s a marching band in my head.”

“Makes sense. You finished off Vin’s whiskey.”

“That explains that then.” I picked up the coffee and sipped it, enjoying as the warmth blanketed me. “Thank you for this.”

“Of course, bumblebee.” He gave my hand a squeeze. “Vin is with Dom right now. He’ll be back in a few. They went to get more sugar from the horsemen. Dom is putting in a large order. Shit sold like mad.”

“I’m surprised Vinny wanted to go. He’s all about making Enzo his bucket of chicken.”

“Between us, I think he’s hoping to still get his chance.” He grinned at me. “Dom will keep his head in the game.”

I nodded, Dom’s name making my heart hurt.

“Speaking of Dom,” he continued, clearing his throat. I lifted one of the blueberry muffins out of the bag and took a bite and looked to him. “How was last night?”

“You know how last night was. I drank way too much and am paying the price today.”

“Not that. You and Dom. He came in here to check on you last night. We waited in his room. Figured if there was a murder, we’d be close enough to stop it.”

I swallowed my muffin, my heart in my throat.

It wasn’t a dream.

He was here. Dominic spent the night with me. We had sex. God, we’d had amazing sex.

And he’d left…

“H-he was here?”

“Yeah.” He nodded. “He said things went well. We didn’t hear any fighting, so we assumed it did.” A smile turned his lips up. “You don’t remember it, do you?”

I winced and shook my head. “I didn’t. I do now that you mention it. At least some of it. I think.”

“So no arguing?”

“No,” I murmured, thinking of being off my pills now and him filling me. That explained the moisture still between my legs.
