“Good. Don’t.” She let out a contented sigh. “I’ll snuggle with you anytime you want.”
I smiled, the earlier darkness of reliving my past and learning hers vanishing. I pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “Consider my frame available for snuggle sessions from this moment forth.”
She laughed, the action making her vibrate in my arms. “Noted. Now this human is most likely going to pass out soon, so don’t freak out.”
It was my turn to laugh. “No freak-outs, I promise. I do know you simple humans need your sleep.”
“Insufferable cyborg.”
I smirked. “But you like me.”And maybe one day, you will love me,I added in my head, keeping that thought to myself for now.
“I think I do, Viper. I really think I do.”
“That’s good, because I like you too, Oz.” So much that my cheeks hurt from the goofy smile that now seemed to be a permanent fixture on my face.
