“The killer really has it out for you guys, doesn’t he?” the inspector says with a frown. “As soon as I have all the details, I will inform the girl's relatives.” Hawk grunts in annoyance bringing the Inspectors eyes to him, and then behind to Burkhart and Celmund that are still sitting on their bikes looking around.
“Are they with you?” the Inspector asks as he inclines his head towards them.
“Yeah, they were visiting today when we were told that this happened.” I reply.
“And how would you know about this so soon?” he asks with a suspicious expression on his face which has me shrugging.
“I’m not sure yet, but I think that it’s one of the prospects that we had here guarding our girl.” The inspector nods at my reply.
“Where is the prospect now?” the inspector asks, “we will need to ask him some questions.”
“We have just got here a couple of minutes before you, I’m not sure yet.” I reply, “but as soon as I see him, I will let him know that you want to talk to him.”
“Make sure that you do.” His order has me grunting in annoyance. I know it’s not Sabre as I saw him before leaving and Sabre has been on grounds duty for the last week as he is the prospect that I trust the most.
I have a soft spot where Sabre is concerned as I brought him into the club. When I found him, he was a mess, Hunters had killed his parents and were on his trail. I have taught him how to defend himself. Sabre is thankful for the opportunity that we gave him, and always does more than we ask of him. The others all have their issues, but they are all good men, sometimes we still need to give them a hard talking to, but the men have been there throughout our problems.
“Check who it is!” I say to Hawk as the Inspector walks away.
“Have already asked Goliath, just waiting for a…” he starts to say just as his phone beeps. “It’s Flint,” he mutters.
“Let’s go find him.” I grunt as I get off my Harley, we make our way towards the parking lot where the men usually park their bikes when they come to check on Sam. Lifting my head, I try to scent Flint but all that I can smell is bleach, the girl must be somewhere close.
If I think of how dangerous it is for women here in Town, and especially for ones that are connected to the Wolverine, I cringe in rage thinking of what a person must think when they are busy killing an innocent.
Flint’s Harley isn’t in the parking lot, “Where the fuck is he?” I mutter as I pull out my phone to call him and find out where he is, when he is supposed to be here.
“Yeah” he answers
“Where are you?” There is a pause before he answers which tells me that he wasn’t expecting to tell us that he wasn’t where he was supposed to be.
“Sam asked me for some stuff, I came to get it for her.” He says,
“Where is Sam?” my tone is deadly, if Sam is dead because the motherfucker can’t follow orders, then he will be joining her.
“Wha…what?” he asks in surprise.
“Sam, where the fuck is she?” I roar.
“She was in her room when I left.” I disconnect the call on his excuse because if I have to listen to one more word I am going to roar in anger.
“That one doesn’t listen well,” Hawk grunts.
“He better pray that Sam is fine.” I promise.
“Do you have a photo of Sam?” Celmund asks as he looks up from his phone, “I am in their control system, if you show me what she looks like I might be able to see if she’s one of the women in the rooms.”
“Fuck brother, you’re one handy motherfucker to have around.” Hawk mutters, as he goes to stand next to Celmund looking down at his phone.
“Don’t tell him that, we won’t hear the end of it.” Burkhart teases.
“There! Go back” Celmund glances at Hawk and then goes back to finding what Hawk saw.
“That’s her, but what the fuck is she doing.” Hearing that Sam is still alive has me sighing in relief.
“Flint is one lucky son of a bitch.” I mutter.
“Cleaning?” Celmund suggests with a raised brow which has me shaking my head. Ever since we found her in the clutches of the Hades MC that Sam has been obsessed with cleaning. I know that Dakota thinks that it’s because of them raping her, that she maybe feels dirty, but fuck, that’s the reason that she’s here.
