“I wouldn’t tell anyone,” she whispers.
“How did your sister find out?” Siena looks surprised for a minute before she shakes her head.
“That wasn’t me.”
“The others had to shift in front of her. That’s how she found out,” I confirm, which has King lift his hand to rub at his jaw.
“Those motherfuckers are starting to piss me off.” His low growl has Siena move closer to me. “I don’t know what Skull is trying to prove by sending his men to be killed.”
The thing with the Hades MC is that they have many members. They take in any lost soul that’s looking for a place to belong. With us, we only accept shifters, and they are prospects for a long time before King makes them a full brother. “Stupid fuck.”
He turns to make his way out of the room, but he pauses to look at us again. “Welcome to the pack, Siena.”
I hear Siena sigh the moment he finally leaves. “King is scary,” she whispers as she looks at me, her teeth biting her bottom lip. I lift my hand and stroke my index finger over her bottom lip to stop the biting.
“He’s a bit intense, but I promise you, you’ll come to accept him.”
“Your tour is nearly over, where are you going to live?” I was hoping that we didn’t have to do this yet, because I’m dreading this conversation. I will not stay away from my mate, but I don’t want to stay away from my pack either.
“This is my home.” Siena nods at my statement, a sad expression darkening her features. “I want you to be here with me.”
“You want me to move here?” she asks in surprise.
“Yes, of course.”
“But my life is in Cape Town, and I don’t want to be away from Lee Ann.”
I shrug. “Your sister already knows what we are, she can easily live-in town or even here on the property.” I know that this is a big change for her, and I don’t expect an answer now, but I want her to know what I would like to happen. “You don’t need to decide now, but I would like you to live here with me in the future.”
“But I have all my patients in Cape Town.”
“Maybe we can alternate somehow, I will stay with you for a while and you come here for a while.” I don’t want her to have to do all the sacrifices, I’m willing to stay with her for a couple of months in Cape Town and then she stays here at the MC for a couple of months.
“Let me think about it okay?” Her worried expression has me pulling her against me, taking her lips in a gentle but all-consuming kiss. This is my woman, and no matter what, we will find a way. I used to live on the road, sometimes for months, when on tour, so living with my woman won’t be too different from that.
Her hand slides into my hair as we kiss, the other moves onto my shoulder, holding me close to her. To know that there is someone out there that is obsessed with being with you as much as you want to be with them, it fills every gap in your life that you didn’t even know you had. They are there for you, accepting your differences and loving you for them.
My thoughts come to a standstill. Raising my head, I look into my woman’s beautiful, passion-filled eyes. Do I love her? Is it even possible to love another in such a short period of time? I know that I would do anything for her—that she completes me. She’s what is missing in me, the goodness, the stability, the determination in life to accomplish anything she puts her mind to.
When things got difficult at the club, I was the first one to leave, running from complications, and from my pain. Now that I have Siena, I’m determined to do everything in my power to keep her happy, to make sure that she’s protected and cared for at all times.
“What’s wrong?” she asks with a frown, sensing my hesitation.
“Nothing, everything is just right and if it isn’t, then we will find a solution together.”
A radiant smile breaks across her beautiful features and she nods.
SIENA 20
“Are you still thinking about it?” Lee Ann asks as we drink our coffee. Last night, Blue and I never made it down to dinner and this morning, he had to go out early, so I have taken the time to talk to Lee Ann about what Blue and I discussed.
“I don’t know, we have our whole life in Cape Town how can I possibly just pack up everything and move here?”
“Have you been outside yet?” I shake my head at her random question. “Well, you should because then you will find one of the reasons why it would be a good idea.”
“Would you mind moving here?”
She looks at me with a raised brow, and shrugs. “To be honest, after everything that happened, I feel like I need a change. There is nothing in Cape Town for me except Taffy, and she can come visit us.” She leans closer to me and whispers, “Besides, have you seen the guys here?” She winks, which has me grinning and shaking my head in amusement. It’s such a Lee Ann thing to do, something which she hasn’t done in a very long time and I have missed. My sister is coming back to her normal self and I will do anything to help her achieve it.
