“Xander you’re…” Memphis began as I pinned him with my gaze and forced my feet over towards him and whispered in her ear.
“I can’t wait until your stomach is swollen and full with our child but until then I’ll have to contend with this…”
I dropped to one knee and heard the whispered “knew it” leave Memphis’s mouth. Charlotte’s eyes watered and she clasped her hands together.
“Charlotte Baxterly, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
Charlotte dropped down beside me and I gathered her in my arms, kissing her face.
“Who says I won’t be in a few months? I missed my period…” she confessed as I held her against my chest. I pulled her back and gazed down at her stomach, picturing the fact that a little me and her could be growing inside of her.
“Have you tested yet?” I asked her, placing my hand on top of her stomach as she went to stand up. I stood beside her and grabbed her wrist, twirling her back into my chest. “Well?”
Charlotte nodded and she dropped her head low before I lifted her chin with my forefinger and thumb.
“Kitten…” I growled. “Please.”
“What did she say?” Barrett asked. “Is she going to make you wait?”
I gazed between the guys, then at the wonderful woman in front of me.
“I’ll be your wife Xander and I’ll also be the mother of your child.” Charlotte smiled widely.
“You’re pregnant!” I exclaimed, lifting Charlotte up in the air before lowering her back to her feet. I bent down and kissed her stomach before I grabbed her hand and slid the diamond ring on her finger before encasing her palm in mine.
“You’re mine now kitten, forever and always.” I kissed her gently.
“That’s right, Superman. Forever and always.”
