It turned out fucking beautiful, and I went to the grand opening party, hoping to see her, but there were too many people, and I couldn’t get through to her. She was lost in the sea of people. I could feel her but couldn’t see her, so eventually, I gave up and left.

Today is the day Cam’s clothing company, Sinful Pleasures, opens for business. I only know this because Anthony told me that she and all her employees would be having their first day of work in the new building.

Even if he did finish it for her, it’s still the blueprint I created for her when we were younger, at the exact location I chose for her. We created it together, even if I’d been too stupid and had my head stuck up my own ass and missed the opportunity to complete it with her and be by her side when she opened.

I have so many regrets.

“Congrats, man. To freedom!” My buddy, Nick, breaks me from my thoughts. He raises his glass in his air, toasting me on my now finalized divorce. It had been a long and messy road to make it happen, but it finally fucking happened. I am now officially a single man.

I never went back to Karina after I asked for a divorce that day. Instead, I hired the best damn divorce lawyer in the state, Ash Grant, the father of my high school best friend, Dallas.

I had hoped that Karina and I would be able to come to an agreement civilly but should’ve known that would be impossible with her. She wanted me to pay and suck me dry because I was unfaithful in our marriage.

Ash had discovered something interesting in my bank statements when I brought them in for him to review my financials. We had hoped the discovery would speed up the process, but I wasn’t that lucky. But it did save me money.

We found out Karina had used a sperm donor and had artificially inseminated at a clinic. She had her baby and thank fuck it wasn’t mine. She refused to sign the papers, wanting every single cent I had.

She got the house, her car, and a hefty check. It wasn’t nearly as much as she wanted, but considering she used my money to inseminate herself and claim the child was mine, I didn’t feel she should be entitled to everything I had. We agreed, and she finally fucking signed.

Now, I’m out at Trinity nightclub celebrating the great news. My divorce was finalized today, and I’m free.

Clanking our shot glasses together, we all throw them back, and my friends erupt in a roar, cheering for me.

“Congratu-fucking-lations!” Ash Grant, my fucking wonderful divorce attorney, enters the bar, clapping his hands together. He’s a shark of a lawyer, the best in the state. Back in high school, I remember when Dallas would talk about his father and how great he was. So, when it came to needing someone to represent me, it was a no-brainer that I’d ask him.

Nick, Logan, and James are friends from high school with whom I’ve stayed in touch with over the years. When news of my divorce spread, they became some of my biggest supporters.

Ash is old enough to be our father, but you’d never be able to tell by looking at him. It’s funny how different he and Dallas are. He takes after his mother rather than his father.

Man, I sure do miss my high school best friend, and being around his father reminds me of the good ol’ days.

“How does it feel to be a free man?” he asks with a chuckle, patting me on the back.

“Feels amazing, thanks to you.” God, it does feel amazing.

“It was my pleasure, man. Glad it’s finally over. It sure as fuck got a little ugly.” He chuckles, sipping the amber liquid from his glass. Ash knows firsthand the details of my divorce, well, he and Nick since I had called him one drunken night after I found out Karina had used a sperm donor. Even though I knew about the donor, I still requested a paternity test after Karina’s son was born to be certain.

It hurt to find out he wasn’t mine, but then that resentment faded, and I felt happy. I was happy that I wouldn’t be tied to her and didn’t have a child with someone I didn’t, and couldn’t, love anymore.

She got the one thing she always wanted, a child, so I’m happy for her. She’s out of my life, and I’m happier now without her. I should’ve divorced her a long fucking time ago, but better late than never.

I'm occupied chatting with my group of friends when the hair on the back of my neck stands in awareness the same way it always does when I’m nearher. I’ve always been able to feel her presence.

I feel her before I see her.

Our eyes find each other through the crowd like magnets. Camille walks through the door wearing a little black dress, red fuck-me heels, and matte red lipstick that instantly gets my cock hard, remembering how I smeared it the last time I saw her wearing red lipstick. I had spread it all over her face when she swallowed my dick and sucked me dry.

She walks toward me with Spencer on one side and Olivia, Spence’s friend, on the other.

“Hello, boys.” Spencer looks devilishly at my friends, takes one of the drinks from the tray the waitress just brought, and swallows it back. I see the moment her eyes land on Ash, and I try to keep myself from laughing. She coughs. “H-h-hi, Mr. Grant.” How awkward that must be for her, seeing her ex-boyfriend’s father after all these years. From what I've heard, she and Dallas never got back together, despite how we all swore they would.

Everyone around the table starts making small talk, but my eyes easily find Camille again, only to discover that she hasn’t taken her eyes off me. A smile spreads across her red lips, and I know I’m wearing a matching smile of my own.

She's more radiant than I've ever seen her before. Her emerald eyes are bright and sparkling, her face lively, and her golden skin is glowing.

“Fancy seeing you here,” she says, her tits brushing against my chest as she leans in to me to speak. Fuck, if the little vixen isn’t careful, my cock is going to spill right here.

“What are you celebrating?” Her eyes sparkle with mischief as if she knows precisely the gutter my mind went to.
