I feel the guilt roll in and begin to squash the euphoria I’d felt moments before. “I’m sorry—” I start, but Luke only chuckles and holds up a hand to stop me.
“It isn’t your fault. Honestly, I think she and her agent have something going on. He’s married, so keeping up her life right now matters.” He rolls his eyes.
A married man. I’ve been with a few of those. But never sober. I don’t say anything. I have no right to judge or comment.
“So, what do you eat?” Luke asks, drawing out his phone. “I’ll order in.”
“I’m a vegetarian,” I tell him automatically and take in the black and white checkered kitchen. “As long as it's vegetarian, I don’t care. Your place is huge.”
“Luke’s a lawyer. He makes a pretty penny,” Jasper snickers.
Fuck, his voice sends waves crashing through me. It's husky, intoxicating. I know it’s wrong to latch onto something and make it a new addiction, but honestly, I can live forever just by listening to his voice.
“Don’t sell yourself short,” Luke says, sounding slightly absentminded, his focus on his phone. “Jasper here runs a pretty successful tattoo business.”
Jasper shrugs, and the movement of his shoulders gives a slight view of ink drawn upon his shoulder.
I tilt my head in curiosity. “Tattoos? For how much?”
He grins and those dimples come back to life. “For pretty women like you, it’s free the first time with me.” He winks and incites a giggle to leave my mouth.
Shit, he’s making me giggle. I tuck a strand of hair behind my hair, going a little shy. “When is your next open appointment?”
“Now, if you want,” his smile turns into a mischievous grin. “I have a set up here.”
I bite my lip. Do I really want to do this? Oh, why the hell not. I’m already here, so I might as well. “Okay,” I agree.
His eyes light up. “What do you want?”
I shake my head. “I don’t know, and I don’t know where. How about”—I step towards him, running my tongue over my lips—“somewhere you pick?”
His eyes glint in excitement, and he grazes down over my body, biting his lip. Luke finally steps up to him and whispers in Jasper’s ear. Jasper chuckles and nods in agreement.
“Deal.” He winks at me and beckons for me to follow him out of the kitchen.
Chapter37
Luke
Iwatch as Jasper guides Gracie to lay down in a leather chair, his fingers trailing down her front and to the waistband of her pants. Her shivering at his touch doesn’t go unnoticed. Jasper lingers for a moment, a little hesitant, but continues after making sure that she isn’t going to push his hand away. Jasper pulls Gracie’s underwear and leggings down just to the middle of her thighs to give a view of what lays beneath. I swallow roughly. She’s a bit prickly, shaved, but in full view.
Slipping his hand between her legs, Jasper parts them easily, as I watch. My dick tightens, pushing against my briefs, and my eyes meet hers. The corners of her lips curl up mischievously, and she winks at me, teasing me. It takes my entire willpower not to step over to her, shove Jasper away, and start eating her out, I fucking swear.
I cross my arms over my chest, gritting my teeth. I have to keep it steady, now isn’t the time to just lose myself. I tug my gaze away from Gracie’s and back to Jasper, who’s retrieving his tattoo needle and getting ready. He’s seen more of women on his chairs than this. It’s not a surprise that going in to draw near Gracie’s vagina isn’t a huge deal for him. He’d once told me that he had tattooed a woman’s breasts fully, then angel wings down under right after. This is just a piece of cake for him.
I watch as Jasper pushes Gracie’s right leg further to the side and begins the drawing. It’s simple, and something I hope won’t take too long. I don’t want Gracie to be entirely uncomfortable. I catch her fingers tightening around the armrests, her teeth clamping together as a hiss escapes her lips. A bit of an uncomfortable spot, I picked it deliberately. Gracie glares at me, knowing I did it on purpose, but I can only smirk at her.
The gentle hum of the tattoo needle drifts through the room, neither one of us saying a word. It’s quiet enough for me to just think.
I know I probably shouldn’t be welcoming Gracie due to Kate, but the brat can get over it. Sure, I’ll hear about it at family dinner on Sunday, but oh fucking well. I’m a grown-ass man and can make my own decisions. Our parents will know that and respect it. Dad will be annoyed, chastise me for a while, but then be over it. Simply because Kate is his favorite, and that has never been a secret. He won’t make me stop seeing Gracie if that’s what I choose to do, so I guess that’s on the plus side.
Then, there’s the matter of Adrianna. What the fuck am I supposed to do with her? The title of the house is in all three of our names. I can’t exactly kick her out for acting weird or strange or anything. But something’s going on, that’s for damn sure, and I don’t like it. I also don’t like that whenever Kate comes around, the two of them disappear to Adrianna’s room for a few minutes and then leave for hours at a time. It rubs me wrong, and the fact that they just did it sets me on edge. Those two girls were up to something, and I must find out what.
“There we go,” Jasper announces, sitting up and pushing his rolling stool back.
Gracie pulls herself to an upright sitting position and bends over, examining the tattoo. It’s a pair of shaded dice meant for good luck.
“I like it.” She grins up at us, her cheeks flushed bright pink, and I have no doubt it’s because of being exposed to the two of us.
