I laugh, but Holden picks her up. She snuggles close to him and I take a picture of them, knowing it will be a good present or more meaningful later. We get her into the hotel room and in a comfortable bed. She yawns and tries to wake herself up.
“I’m ready to be ravaged.”
I shake my head at her. Nick’s already in the shower and Roman is placing our breakfast order. Holden’s fast asleep. “Tomorrow.”
“But.” She complains, sitting up. “But we promised.”
“And you’re exhausted, sweets,” I whisper, laying her back down. “We’re going to sleep together, but just sleep.”
She tugs on my tie and I pull it off, tossing it to the side along with my jacket. I kick off my shoes and join her in bed. She rests her head on my chest. “I missed this.”
Holden rolls on his side and curls up against her back, slinging an arm around her waist. I kiss Sophie’s forehead. “I did too.”
“Never again. I was promised.”
“And you won’t ever have to sleep alone,” I assure her against her forehead. “Not with four of us to choose from.”
She nods and kisses my neck. “I love you, Gun. I loved your vows. I loved dancing with you. I still want to read with you in the morning.”
“We will. And you can paint with Nick too.”
Nick perks up, looking at us while wearing just a towel slung around his hips. I smile. “We’ll have sex as often as you want, but do those important things too.”
“Okay.” She nods, giving in a little.
Once she’s back asleep, I manage to slide out from under her. I need some water or something. Nick takes my spot as Roman works on taking off his shirt and kicking off his pants. I head down to the floor below to get some ice. I pass a room and hear moaning and panting, sounds like pure pleasure.
I get ice and pass the room again in time for the door to open. Valerie peeks out the door crack and looks at me with a shocked look on her face. Her shirt has three letters on it which makes my lips curl up. “Having fun with Chase?”
“I’m drunk.” She says softly.
“Who are you talking to?” Chase asks. “Are you already trying to replace me?”
Valerie’s face goes bright red. She points at me and says. “No telling.”
“Swearing me to secrecy?”
“Yes.” She glances over her shoulder and grabs an ice cube. She shuts the door, but I still hear her. “Someone got the wrong room.”
“And what are you doing with that single ice cube?” Chase’s voice is playful.
I shake my head as I chuckle. Valerie doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into. If she thinks Chase is a one and done kinda guy, she’s got another thing coming. Sure he loves women, but she’s made him work for her. No way he is going to be able to resist someone like Valerie, he’ll be taking everything she offers and pushing for more.
He loves being forced to earn a woman. He’ll never admit it. I know it because I’m the same way. It activates something different in our brains. Earning Sophie’s affection and love, working hard, revealing more and more of myself, it’s been wild, but in the best way.
When I get back upstairs and put together some water with ice, I see Roman looking at our friends wrapped around our woman. He takes a drink of champagne and nods to me. “This is the best decision we’ve ever made, Gunner.”
“Agreed. Ever thought we’d say that about marrying the same woman?”
“Never.” He smiles slightly. “Never before Sophia. As soon as we shared her, I knew that there was only one way any of us could have her. It would have to be together.”
I take a long drink of water. “You better hydrate for tomorrow. She was trying to strip me while half asleep.”
His grin widens. “Think we can handle that kind of attention forever?”
Sophie moans in her sleep and worms closer to Nick as Holden follows. He opens his eyes a moment, closes the space between them, and nuzzles her neck. She nods her head on Nick’s chest and squeezes him.
“Absolutely.” I say evenly. “There’s no way I could give her up now.”
