“I don’t have to.” She bumps my hip with hers. “I saw it.”

We get back and Holden steals me for his lap and I giggle. We talk about the play until the lights come down again. I see Valerie adjust in her seat and then I notice why. Lief is telling her something.

Hunter may be playing things wrong, but if there’s hatred … she might just go for the angry sex. She enjoys it like that. Lief so far has the best chance, but who knows if he even wants it. He’s impossible to read.

Holden turns my chin to the play and whispers in my ear. “You can talk with Valerie after and I’m sure she’ll share the dirty details.”

“And I won’t have any to share?”

Holden turns my chin and kisses me with greed, devouring my mouth until I nearly forget where we are and what we’re doing. Once he and I are done, Nick leans over and I make out with him too as Holden holds the back of my neck to stroke down my back in a way that makes my toes curl while he palms my breast in his other hand.

When I lean back, Gunner grabs my ass.

“Now you have some,” Holden convinces me.

I watch the rest of the play with a huge smile on my face. If Valerie wasn’t here, I’d be all over them tonight. I don’t think my dress would survive. Something about Roman’s bite tells me he wants to be rough, to follow through instead of letting me go and drowning me in love.

As we walk out and I wipe my eyes, Gunner and Nick take care of my makeup and kiss me. I see their eyes are misty too. I hug them tightly. “You’re both so sweet.”

“Are you making fun of me?” Gunner grumbles.

“No. I like that sensitive side of you guys.”

“Are you crying?” Valerie asks.

Hunter snorts and wipes his nose. “Just allergies. I’m not that kind of guy.”

Valerie shrugs and stands. “Shame. I would have believed you were a real boy instead of a textbook of pickup lines.”

He stares after her, lips slightly parted. I can see him kicking himself. Valerie has the luxury of choice. She’s gorgeous, knows what she has to offer, and has high standards for herself and others. She loops my arms. “We’re going to go talk about you guys out front. See you soon.”

I laugh as we walk out. I nudge her. “I saw Leif whispering in your ear.”

“Did you even watch the play?” Her cheeks flush a little.

“Apparently, I watched too much! What did I miss?” I demand.

“Well you started making out with your men, and Chase turned my face to his and I don’t know, I just kind of ended up kissing him. It wasn’t terrible. Not thegreatestkiss ever, but it took me a while to get with the program and then I pulled away.”

“Wow. And then you give Hunter that line? Savage.” I giggle.

“Says you. Making out with everyone except Gunner.”

“Oh trust me, he’s not going to forget it.” I roll my eyes. “I bet he grabs me in the limo.”

“I still have eyes.” She points at them. “As hot as your boyfriends are, I don’t need to see a gang bang in real life.”

Two older women glare at us and complain about ‘millennials’ before walking away. That sends Valerie and I into a fit of giggles.

As predicted, Gunner is the first one out and he sweeps me up in a soul-searching kiss that threatens my sense of public decency. Valerie pries us apart. “Okay, before the police get called for public indecency.”

“On to dinner.”

“And the … guests.” Valerie puts a hand on her hip.

“Are joining.”

“Oh, well. You know, I’m feeling so jet-lagged and exhausted. It’s been such a long day and the time change …”
