Hunter and Chase chuckle. Hunter kisses my hair. “None of us were really hiding it, dorogaya.”

“I’m tired of it. Of hiding it, of not being able to just enjoy what we have. It’s special, different, but it’s ours and no one else should judge,” Chase agrees.

“We’ve talked about that word.” I slip into counselor mode. “Should is a put down in nearly all instances.”

“Then fuck the people who judge us,” He corrects himself.

“Oh no.” Hunter shakes his head. “The only one we’re fucking is this wicked little thing right here.”

Hunter steals my mouth and kisses me so deeply, that all I can do is accept it. His affection, admiration, and love pour into me and make me feel whole again. He turns my head and Chase kisses me too. It’s softer, more nervous, almost like he’s sure this will be our last kiss, but I meant what I said.

I’m not leaving my men because other people have a problem with it. If they don’t like it, they don’t have to look. It’s not like I wear a stamp on my forehead saying I’m fucking three men and love them all.

None of us bring it up in conversation, so if other people want to dig, find out, and try to use it to embarrass us, it’ll be on them.

After a few more kisses, we go inside. Lief tugs me onto his lap as his mother and father shake their heads.

“It’s horrible, honestly,” Roger says.

I almost flinch, thinking that they’re talking about us.

“I mean, what kind of man breaks a glass, then causes a scene with the host? Bad form.” Roger takes a sip from the bourbon in his glass.

“Where were your parents tonight, Valerie? I was hoping to meet them,” Josefine asks.

“Oh yes, I haven’t heard anything about your parents,” Vanya agrees. “they must be great people to have a daughter like you.”

“I ... um ... I don’t think that’s important.”

“But, Lief said-”

Lief clears his throat. He doesn’t move his head, but I see the ‘not now’ in his eyes. Josefine must be able to read her son well. But a smile curves her lips. “I see. Well, I’m sure I’ll meet them in time. But for now, we will leave you four alone.”

Vanya and Roger agree, wishing us a good night. I turn to Lief and cross my arms. “You’re planning something aren’t you?”

“Potentially.”

“Tell me.”

He leans towards me, but I hear Hunter chuckle and see Chase turn away like he has no clue. All of them have something going on.

“What is it?” I demand.

“If we told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise.” Lief counters then kisses me until I forget my question.

HUNTER

All week Valerie has been trying to figure out what we have planned. It’s gotten to the point that I’m nearly afraid to have a serious conversation in English or Russian in the house. I’ve seen her peeking around corners, trying to seduce it out of Chase, to slip it into conversation with Lief, and she’s gotten back to her sassy ‘come get me’ style with me. Denying me everything when I refuse to give an answer.

But Thursday night, it’s just us at home. She’s going through her textbook, grumbling about how she’s being left out. I shake my head, push her book to the side, and lie my head in her lap.

“Dr. Sexy, I have a problem.”

“You’re about to have a bigger one. I don’t know what page I was on,” She complains.

“My girlfriend isn’t letting me plan something special for her.”

She freezes, then pushes some loose locks of her hair out of her face. “Do you know how she feels about surprises? That could impact how willing she is to allow you to do something like this.”
