Walking out of my office, my gaze on my cell as I reply to an email, I jolt as I collide with a hard object, and my cell drops from my hands.
“Oww,” Georgie cries and I glance just in time to see her falling backward.
I reach out and grab a hold of her, my hands going around her waist. “Shit, I’m sorry,” I say as she stands.
She glances up at me, her eyes filled with lust, her lips parted, and her chest rising and falling, showcasing those amazing breasts of hers. Her tongue licks her bottom lip, and those eyes of hers are so expressive, begging me to do something.
The grip I have on her hips tightens, I want nothing more than to pull her closer to me and kiss her until she’s breathless, to push her up against the wall and fuck her until she’s screaming my name. But I can’t, it’s not right. She’s my daughter.
I release her and take a step back, hurt and anger flash across her face.
“Watch where you’re going next time,” she growls. She shakes her head, the tears welling in her eyes, but before I can say anything she walks away, her ass swaying and I can’t help but watch.
Fuck, I’m not sure how much longer I can hold out. All I want is her.
CHAPTER2
GEORGINA
It’s been three days since Dad and I kissed. Since I messed up and let him in further than I have ever let anyone in.
In these past three days, I’ve called Mama countless times and each time she’s not answered. I need to get out of this house, get away from Dad. No matter where I go, his scent surrounds me and memories of our kiss invade my dreams and thoughts. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to escape him.
Walking downstairs, I hear him on the phone. He’s been home a lot more these past few days. As soon as my foot hits the bottom step, the doorbell rings. Dad’s still on the phone, his deep voice rumbling. He’s pissed off with someone or something.
The blood drains from me after I open the door and see who’s standing there.
“Hey, Georgia,” he says softly, his eyes full of remorse.
“What are you doing here, Derek?” I whisper, shocked that he’s standing in front of me. “How did you find me?”
He reaches out to touch my face, I take a step back. He looks down at the ground. “I needed to make sure you were okay.”
I raise my brow, not believing him. “Nowyou decide to see if I’m okay? It’s been three days.” I’m still whispering; with Dad being in the house, I don’t want him to hear us. “You just want to ease your guilty conscience.”
Guilt flashes in his face and I shake my head, he obviously never gave a shit about me. “Yes, but I also wanted to see you.”
“It’s time for you to leave,” I tell him, my voice getting stronger.
“Please, Georgina, please let me explain,” he pleads with me.
“Explain what?” I ask, proud that I’m able to keep my voice strong. “How you thought I would take you back after you cheated on me? How you fucked my friend because I wouldn’t sleep with you?”
“I never wanted it to happen.”
I laugh, he’s such a liar. “You mean you never intended on me finding out. You don’t care that you slept with her, you’re just angry that I left you. Now you can’t pop my cherry.”
He sighs, not denying a single thing I’ve just said. “Look, Georgina, I really am sorry. I never wanted you to get hurt.”
“You came here for my forgiveness?” He nods. “I don’t forgive you. Now are we done?”
He smiles. “See that’s what I fucking love about you.” I shudder at the word love. “You’re hurt and upset and yet you don’t give a fuck.” He takes a step closer to me. “I know that I fucked up with you, give me another chance?”
Is he for real?
“Seriously?”
He nods, his eyes full of hope.
