“Fuck,” he grunts softly. “Fuck, I’m gonna—dammit, I’m gonna—”
He never gets to say the word “come.” Instead, he just does it, bottoming out and grinding his hips against mine as his cock pulses. I feel a burst of heat deep in my core, and Raven lets out a choked noise as he thrusts a few more times before going still. He lets out a soft curse as he comes in my ass, and my breath hitches at the deliciously dirty sensation of having them both throb inside me.
My pulse is like a drumbeat in my chest, and I’m pretty sure if I weren’t literally impaled on two cocks and pinned between two hard bodies, I’d be a boneless puddle on the floor by now. I blink blearily as I hold on to Cain’s shoulder, and as my gaze lands on the bed, I realize that despite our best efforts, we probably weren’t as quiet as I hoped we’d be.
North is awake, his gaze focused on us just like Raven’s was earlier.
“Sorry,” I murmur, my voice still a bit rough from the orgasm that just barreled through me. “We didn’t mean to wake you.”
North smiles, his eyes gleaming like deep pools in the shadowy light. “Never apologize for that, baby girl. Waking up to the sight of you being fucked senseless by my two brothers? I can think of a whole lot of things a whole lot worse than that.”
Raven chuckles, and my skin flushes. I’m tempted to ask North to join us too, now that he’s up, but I can feel tiredness creeping through my limbs in the aftermath of two intense orgasms, and I know all of us need to get some rest. We need to stay sharp and alert, and staying up all night having a four-way orgy probably isn’t the best way to achieve that.
With one last kiss to my neck, Raven pulls out of me slowly. His cum leaks down my thigh as Cain carries me over to the bed and lays me back down. The handsome wolf shifter slides out of my pussy, and the two men settle onto the mattress beside me and North.
North reaches over and palms the back of my head, pulling me close for a rough, possessive kiss.
“You smell like my brothers,” he murmurs when we separate. “I like it.”
I like it too, I realize. I didn’t exactly expect for any of us to have sex while staying in the vampire palace, but renewing our connection has grounded me and made me feel less ill at ease. I feel safer.
Because I’m more certain than ever that I’m not alone in this.
CHAPTER13
The next morning, I wake up early. At first I’m not sure that it even is morning, with the light being all strange here. Raven’s finishing up his watch, perusing the bookshelf. I think he’s decided that if no vampires struck in the wee hours of the morning, their opportunity has passed and they’re not going to come after us at six a.m.
North and Cain are on either side of me, asleep, and for a moment I just close my eyes and indulge myself in listening to the sound of their breathing. They’re warm, and solid, and they feel more real than anything else in the world.
I can’t possibly give them up or allow them to be hurt. I can’t ever lose them. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to make sure that my vision doesn’t come true—that I won’t ever be alone.
As much as I’d like to lie here and just bask in my mates, though, we do have to get up. We have to get going.
I stagger out of bed and to the bathroom to get myself ready. How do vampires make sure their hair is done well if they can’t see themselves in mirrors? Do they always have to have someone else do it for them?
Once I’m cleaned up, I rouse the men and make sure they take care of themselves, and then we have to meet with Malcolm. I’m not sure what the king’s plan is, but I hope that it’s better than the one we came up with. If Roanac gets rid of the vampire leadership then we’re all fucked.
Malcolm, Willow, and their two consorts are waiting for us in yet another room, not the throne room or dining room but what seems to be some kind of strategy room. Honestly, how many rooms does this damn castle have?
There’s a large table in the center with various maps spread out on it, and shelves with books and maps mixed in with more modern-day files and folders. At one wall is a desk that’s piled with papers alongside an open laptop. The combination of the old and the new is a bit disconcerting. But it’s another sign of how the vampires are moving forward into the future with this new king instead of staying stuck forever in the past.
“Good morning.” Willow smiles at us, looking completely refreshed. I can’t help but wonder what her night was like and it’s a struggle not to look down at her neck to see if there are fresh bite marks there. “How did you all sleep? We’re having breakfast brought to you here.”
“Oh, thank you.” North sounds a little startled at the hospitality, that vampires would remember we need to eat.
Given that apparently a bunch of humans live here to be willingly snacked on by vampires I don’t think this is such a crazy thing for them to have to remember as North might think.
“We’re working on our strategy for dealing with Roanac,” Malcolm says, gesturing at the maps. “We won’t hold anything back, trust me.”
“We’ve reached out to some contacts in Europe to see if they can lend us aid,” Sol, the blond, adds. “But we fear that they won’t be able to respond in time so we’re operating under the assumption that we’re on our own.”
A servant enters, bowing silently, and Willow claps her hands together. “Excellent, breakfast is ready.”
She leads us into a room that seems to be a smaller version of the banquet hall we were in earlier. Sure enough, a huge breakfast is set up on the table that’s in the middle of the room. My mouth waters, and I sit down immediately.
It’s crazy. If the vampires had fed us right when we’d first walked in yesterday, I would’ve said that they were fattening us up and putting us off our guard so that they could feed on us. But now I trust Willow, and I don’t give a second thought to sitting down and tucking into the food.
The other men sit down and eat as well, North and Cain a little more warily. Raven eats the most out of all of us so I’m not surprised he dives right in.
