“I don’t know if anything has changed on your part, but I intend to hold my end of the deal. Maybe there is no deal anymore. Perhaps that was your intention all along. Whatever it is, I won’t give up. If you've changed your mind about giving me a job, I understand. If not, I want that job…”
I look down to regroup, and when I lift my gaze, I find him more relaxed.
“I know you said we would return today. And yet, we are still here, so I don’t know what that means. Do you plan to stay much longer? Am I supposed to go back on my own?”
He doesn’t say a thing.
“Just let me know…” I murmur. “And, um… There’s one more thing.”
“Yes?”
He cocks an eyebrow at me, waiting.
“I was mad that you left me on that boat. So mad, I couldn’t stand the idea of seeing you again that night. And then, I learned you’d been faster than me and vanished. That night, and yesterday, and last night. I don’t know what that means either. And for sure, you’re not accountable to me.”
A grin curls his lips.
“But…?”
“But I want to know what happened.”
He lifts his eyebrows into a questioning look, his smile still there, glinting across his lips.
“What do you think happened that night?”
“We all know what happened. Francisco and Alejandro know. And I do too. We know why you let Cardenas in.”
“Why are you asking me then?” he murmurs, his smile fading.
I set myself in motion and stop in front of him.
“Listen,” I say, looking straight into his eyes. “I did everything the way I was supposed to do. I told you I won’t hold my emotions back. I didn’t hide them from you, although I wanted them to be my secrets. I’ve had fun these days more than I could’ve ever imagined. You wanted me to have fun. I did. You wanted me to fuck a stranger. I did that too. Were there emotions between him and me? No. Are there emotions between Alejandro and me? Or Francisco and me? Yes. Are they enough to walk away from everything? No. Not on my part. And not on their part. We fucked all night last night…”
His eyes finally look like puddles of water in the winter. Gray and fuzzy.
I softly nod a couple of times, a wicked smile tugging at my lips.
“Yes. We did. They double penetrated me every single time. And I licked their dicks more times than I could count. I’m hoarse today. Maybe from not sleeping last night. Or maybe from swallowing all that cum.”
His expression hardens when a dark smirk crawls across his lips.
“Every single time I did that… Do you know what was going on in my head?” I ask in a quiet but firm voice tinged with reproach.
I’m inches away from him, his arms still folded over his broad chest, his eyes connected to mine, a locked door to his soul.
“Every single time I thought you weren't there…”
He doesn’t even blink.
“Your absence muddied everything. And we had the greatest time of all. And there were moments when I loved that you were not there. But it didn’t matter how I felt about it. The cold fact was I couldn’t ‘not’ think about you. You didn’t bring Cardenas on, not expecting me to be with him. You brought him on to blow everything up. And you did… But even so, I am grateful for the outcome. And I’m not talking money here… Although the money is good.”
A smile tilts my lips.
“I think congratulating you is in order, too,” I continue. “For turning me into a hustler. You introduced me to your world and made me just like you. I didn’t think it would happen so quickly, though.”
He bites his lower lip as if pondering something.
“That’s all I had to say,” I mutter.
With that, I spin around and walk away.
