Lennon, the owner of Electric Vibes, arrives with a round of tequila shots. “There will be no presents until after the quiz.”
I shrug. “As long as there are margaritas, I don’t mind.”
I lift my glass. “To me. On my birthday!”
“I don’t think you can toast yourself. It’s against etiquette rules,” Lilac claims.
“And I don’t care, Ms. Manners.”
Lennon steps on stage and grasps the microphone. He smirks at me before speaking. “The theme of tonight’s quiz will be … Ashlyn Dream West.”
I groan. Talk about embarrassing. But I don’t shy away from a challenge. Not even if the result is the revelation of all of my deep, dark secrets. I scan the room and notice Rowan hasn’t left yet. He lifts an eyebrow in challenge. Game on, Rowan. Game on.
“I’m going to need a pitcher of margaritas stat, Lennon,” I order in response and a cheer rises up from the crowd.
