“Hey, guys. Holly and I were trying to figure out where everyone is sleeping,” Jonah said.
Nolan ran his hand up and down Caylee’s back but looked at them. “Caylee would like to sleep with me but doesn’t want to leave Holly.”
“I think Holly is having the same problem.”
“Are you going to sleep with Jonah, Holly?” Caylee asked.
“Only if you’re going to sleep with Nolan.”
“I’d like to,” Caylee said.
“Then it’s decided,” Jonah said. “Why don’t you get your toothbrush? We can get the other things tomorrow.”
The women hugged and said goodnight. Holly took Jonah’s hand and let him lead her into the master bedroom.
“Why don’t you go ahead and shower and brush your teeth? I’ll bring you another shirt to wear.”
Holly nodded and waited until he closed the door before turning on the shower and sliding her clothes off. She tied her hair up in a knot and stepped into the water. After she quickly soaped and rinsed herself, she was just drying off when the bathroom door opened, and Jonah walked in.
Holly stood in the shower with the towel wrapped around her torso. She heard Jonah chuckle.
“Come on out, baby.”
She opened the glass door and stepped out onto the bathmat.
“I’ll get you more things tomorrow. Let’s get this shirt on before you brush your teeth.”
She clutched the towel against her as he slipped the shirt on her and buttoned it up. He then rolled up the sleeves.
“You can let go of the towel now,” he said.
She released her grip, and it dropped to the floor.
“I’ll get it,” Jonah said and bent down. “Why don’t you brush your teeth?”
Holly stood in front of the mirror and brushed her teeth. She watched Jonah start to undress and choked on the toothpaste.
“Are you okay, baby?”
She nodded and tried to concentrate on rinsing her mouth. Her gaze kept going back to him. Now the only thing he had on was his jeans, but they were unbuttoned.
He was the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen.
“Honey, if you don’t want to see me naked, you better close your eyes or go.”
Her gaze flew to his face. She wanted desperately to say she’d stay, but she was still too shy for that. She nodded, walked out of the bathroom, and closed the door behind her. As she waited for him, she took her hair down and used her fingers to comb it.
She was still standing by the bed when he walked out in shorts.
Jonah turned off the lights except for the one on the side of the bed. He pulled back the blanket. “Hop in, sweetheart.”
Holly nodded, crawled in, and lay down on her side, facing him. After turning off the light, he settled in and pulled her into his arms. “Are you okay with sleeping like this?”
She nodded. “Yes.”
She felt him press a kiss on her forehead.
“Good night, baby.”
