He is showing symptoms of Lima Syndrome. A case where the captor develops sympathy for their captive, and it’s only going to get worse.

He cannot develop feelings for our captive.

Isaac gazes back and forth between us, and I don’t miss the stupid smirk growing on his face. He looks as if he’s about to burst into laughter, and I guess I should keep my eye on him too.

He’s been making goo-goo eyes at that omega ever since we got her file.

“Well, got anything to say?” I continue, keeping my eyes on Sebastian. “I think it’s about time we got her out of that dingy cell and offered her a room. One with proper furnishings fit for an omega’s needs.”

Again, I keep my eyes on my packmate, and I don’t miss the clenching of his jaw. But after a few moments, he nods, tearing his gaze away.

“Fine. But I get to pick her a room. Understand?”

I hold up my hands as a peace offering. “Fine by me.”

The three of us fall silent. Yet the quiet is soon broken by Isaac’s chuckling, and I narrow my eyes.

What the hell does he find so funny now?

“You’ll both soon see…” he titters. “That omega truly is a blessing in disguise. I have a good feeling about her.”

I sigh, annoyed by his antics. “Also, I trust you both to keep your dicks in your pants. If you need to fuck, then fuck each other. The omega is off-limits. Do I make myself clear? No rutting the omega.”

They both nod their affirmation, and I guess it’s time to get her out of that cell.

I bet she’ll be relieved.

No doubt the ghosts of Sebastian’s victims still haunt its walls.
