Madoc is the first to break the silence, and now he steps toward me, sinking down on the mattress. It groans under his weight.

He wraps a hand around my cheek, and I caress his palm like a cat getting its head rubbed by its owner. I think I even purr.

How I’ve missed that maniac’s soft touch. For one so demented, he really can be sweet. Sweet and psycho.

It’s enough to give one a headache.

He leans closer, and now all that softness melts away as he growls into my ear, his breath as hot as his flaming touch.

“I promise, my beauty... I’m going to fuck you so hard later, you’ll be seeing the whole universe.”

My breath whooshes from my lips. “I’m looking forward to it, psychopath.”

Madoc rumbles, and the sound shoots straight to my pussy. Heat pools in my jeans, and it’s about time I got some new clothes.

Enzo ripped my underwear earlier.

The monster flicks his tongue out and the forked tip tickles my inner ear. A shudder works its way up my spine.

I want that forked tip tickling my clitoris later.

Grey approaches the bed now, shoving his psychotic brother to one side since there’s only room for one monster on my tiny cot.

Seriously, I thought they were kings. I expected a king-sized bed or at least a queen-sized one.

Not that I’m complaining. I don’t want them for their riches. But their love.

“Miss us, sunshine?” Grey rumbles, and I smirk at his narrowed green eyes.

“Just a little,” I lie. I missed thema lot. “I even missed that miserable face of yours, Grey.”

He sniggers, and now he wraps a hand around my head, bumping his stone-hard mouth against my lips in a bruising kiss.

The monster cocoons us with his leathery wings, creating our own private world that the others can’t see, and I even hear Madoc hiss in jealousy.

“Show off...” he gripes, and Grey flips him the middle finger.

I bet he learned that gesture during his time in the human world. I know I wanted to flip him the bird several times.

Grey withdraws his wings, and now he steps off the bed. All that’s left is Nero. He leans in the corner of the room, and all I see

are his bright violet eyes.

They look at everything but me.

“Hey, Belle... long-time no see.”

I smile. I don’t expect him to come to me now. He can come in his own time.

“Hi, Nero. I’m so glad you’re all right.”

The four of them rouse, and there’s no missing the confusion that shimmers inside their glowing eyes.

“Whatever do you mean, little bell?” Enzo asks.

It takes me a moment to respond, but surely they couldn’t have forgotten what happened to Nero. Gustave shot him.

“The last time I saw Nero, he was hurt.”
