Her lips part as she pulls in a breath. It’s then that I realize just how close we are. If I stretch forward, just a little and I’d be able to taste her. From here, I can smell the floral scent of her shampoo.
When she licks her lips, I groan. I can bullshit myself all I want and pretend that this is a show for her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend, but the truth is that I want to taste her.
“I’m going to kiss you,” I whisper.
“What?”
“I’m going to kiss you.”
“What?”
“To show your ex how it’s done.”
Her gaze darts over my shoulder, then back to me. “Okay.”
But her ex has nothing to do with it at this point. I just need to taste her. At first, I kiss her chastely, just a pressing of lips. I cup the back of her neck with my hands, holding her close because I need a little more.
But when I pull back and look at her, she blinks slowly. Almost like she’s sleepy as smiles up at me. That languid smile has me licking my lips. And when I do, I taste a hint of her.
This time when I lean forward, Luna opens for me immediately. Her flavor and her acquiescence are both addicting as my tongue dips inside her mouth.
The world dissolves around us as I press her deeper into her seat, seeking more. Luna wraps her arms around my shoulders, but I keep my hands firmly on her neck. They tingle with the need to feel her, to test her curves. But I don’t know how far she’s willing to take this or how far she’s gone with anyone else.
Then, a little moan escapes from the back of Luna’s throat as her nails dig in to my shoulders. That tiny, needy sound blazes through me like fire. My palms slide down her back, all the way to her waist. I press her tighter against me until I can feel the stiff peaks of her nipples digging into my chest. I’m totally and completely lost in her.
There’s a louddingthat brings be back to the present. Luna pulls away from me, eyes wide, her chest rising and falling with each panted breath. I open my mouth to say… something, but am interrupted by the flight attendant.
“Sir, could you please fasten your seatbelt? We’re getting ready for takeoff.”
I nod without looking at her. “Of course.”
I hear the flight attendant move away and say the same thing to another passenger. I keep my gaze on Luna as she fumbles with her seatbelt. I easily click mine without even a glance down. It’s easy enough to use my erection as a guide to make sure I get everything in the right place.
“Did I frighten you?” I ask.
“Frighten me?” Luna laughs. “No. But maybe you were right.”
“About what?”
“Maybe Miller wasn’t right for me.” She looks down at her hands as she says quietly, ”his kisses never made me feel like that. No one’s kisses have made me feel like that.”
I can’t help my chest from puffing up a little as I pull my tablet from the pocket under my tray and use it to cover my crotch. I can still feel the bite of her nails in the skin of my shoulder blades. I press back against my seat, making them sting a little, reminding myself how desperate she was for just a kiss. How would she act if I touched her? Tasted her?
ChapterFour
Luna
As the flight takes off and we ascend, Nash keeps his mouth to himself. I don’t think anything could make me more disappointed. He talks to me a little, asks me about college and my classes, but he doesn’t kiss me again. I’m not even sure if Miller or Janine saw the kiss. They had been looking in our direction, but by the time the kiss was over, I was too stupefied to even look their direction.
I’m pretty sure I told Nash something about him being the best kisser in the world, which is probably why I can’t seem to look him in the eye. He’s trying to help me out by exacting my revenge and here I am, drooling over him.
My crush on Nash is the reason I spent even less time than usual with my Mom while they were married. Mom knew about my crush. She teased me about it all the time. I was worried she’d tease me in front of Nash. I thought maybe she told him about it, but I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have kissed me if he knew I’ve been lusting after him since I first met him.
“What hotel are you staying at?” Nash asks as we prepare for landing.
I close my eyes as I realize that Miller knows exactly where I was planning to stay. “Wyndham.”
“And those two know that?”
