Chapter 16

True

Now that I have told Atlas the truth I wonder why I was so nervous to tell him in the first place. He asked no questions, he just listened and did not judge me or ask for proof. He hangs a right and I realize he’s taking me to the compound, not the house. I am a little nervous about how his family will react to me being there, they had to know Atlas and I was not seeing each other this past month and have questions.

“Listen True, my family has no idea about Victor or anything related to him and I want to keep it that way. So let's keep that between us, oh they don’t believe our cover story but I do not care we stick to that story,” he says.

“But why, I am sure if you told them, getting to Victor would be easy and we could finally kill him and move on with our lives,” I say.

“I have lost enough to Victor and I refuse to lose anyone else I love. I will not put any of my brothers in danger over this, this is my burden, my promise to keep,” he snaps at me.

“What has he taken from you Atlas?” I ask softly. He takes his eyes off the road quickly to glance at me then he’s back to watching the road.

“We’ve had enough heartbreaking revelations today, but soon you’ll understand why I will kill Victor even if I have to do it with my last breath,” he says, voice broken glass on gravel.

I knew he didn’t want the brothers to know how we met but I never imagined they were unaware of everything Atlas has been up to, they seem so attuned with one another how could they not know. Before I could slip down that rabbit hole we’re pulling into the compound. The noise level is damn near stadium level loud when we walk in. It’s chaos in the house and the first thing I notice is Savvy running, she has on a tank top and leggings with fuzzy socks. As soon as she spots us she stops running and begins to slide across the floor in her fuzzy socks. The slide would make Tom Cruise jealous, she raises a gun and shoots it at Atlas.

“Son of a bitch!” he yells as she hits him in the middle of his forehead with a nerf gun and the bullet is stuck to his forehead. She takes no time to gloat as she literally leaps over the sofa and turns in mid-leap to shoot Asher as soon as he clears the door. She’s on her hands and knees peeking around the sofa before she jumps up and runs out the room.

Atlas turns to me with the bullet still stuck to his forehead and it takes everything for me not to literally laugh out loud at him. “Wait right here he says,” and stalks away.

A few minutes after he leaves me standing there watching the madness taking place in this house, Joshua and Joseph come running in the room shooting at each other but missing. Joshua shoots at Joseph and misses and Joseph returns fire and catches Joshua in the chest.

“You’re out! Joseph says, now it’s just me and Savvy. Come out, come out, wherever you are!” he yells.

“You won’t catch her, we've been training for this,” Josh tells Joseph.

“I am marine special services; she has no chance,” he gloats and before the word is completely out of his mouth, he is hit with a rapid succession of bullets, in the forehead, that must be her favorite shot, in the chest and the legs all from her sniper’s nest on the second floor.

Joshua roars with laughter, “you were saying?”

“I was distracted, '' he says petulantly.

“Yeah distracted, losing,” Savvy says as she comes down from the second floor.

“Round two,” Ayran yells and everyone scatters.

Before I can make a decision about what to do, here comes Atlas carrying a portable Gatling gun and a couple of other guns, I am guessing for me. He sets his gun up with the stand, where in the hell did he get this from, I think as I watch him. He hands me a few clips for my guns and begins to load his own clip in this gun. He also hands me a nerf grenade launcher with grenades.

This whole family is crazy, I think as I strap up and prepare to win the round. Aryan has the bow and arrow; Asher has a rocket launcher that shoots honest to god nerf nukes; Anson has the blaster with night vision goggles that he puts to use when he shuts the breaker off. Joseph has on a whole tactical vest, two handguns, and a shotgun, and Jabarri is strapped with a gun that shoots like six nerf bullets at the same time, and Jassiel is bringing up the rear with his gun that has an upgraded motor and shoots out disks and bullets. I swear they built these damn guns cause I have never seen anything like them in any store that I have ever been in.

An hour later we are all exhausted sitting at the buffet eating an amazing meal Jaasiel cooked up and laughing at the video Jabarri took of us having a nerf gun battle. In the end Joshua and Savvy won the most rounds, that chick is stealthy. She said she learned how to be all stealth trying to eat snacks and meals without her kids knowing. At one point this chick repelled from the third-floor balcony shooting everything in sight including Joshua to take home the win. Yeah, this family is crazy like I said earlier and I want to live here with them forever.

Atlas

I wake up to the most delicious feeling I have ever felt and look down to watch my cock disappear over and over in True’s mouth. I lay there and let her have her way for as long as I can before I have her on her knees pressed up against the headboard holding on as I drive in her wet heat over and over until we are too exhausted to get up and end up falling asleep again. Finally, we are able to get out of bed, take showers and get ready for the day. True has a lot to take care of today like contacting the real estate agent and informing her she will not be buying a house in Georgia. It was a cute house, and I am almost tempted to buy it and use it as a rental property or a safe house for women leaving DV situations. Kind of like a stop-over where they can get on their feet without having to worry about rent. I’ll send a text to Jabarri to make the purchase for me later after I know True has backed out of the sale.

“Why Georgia?” I ask as we eat breakfast leftovers Jassiel put aside for us.

“I wanted to get away, but not too far and I wanted to go to school too and the school in Georgia has the program I think I want to take,” she informs me around a piece of Portuguese sausage.

“What program is that?”

“Social work and psychology.”

My eyebrows reach my hairline on that revelation.

“I want to help girls like my mom and me and all the girls I saw Victor parade in and out of that house. He has not stopped liking young girls. Bastard!” she says vehemently. And knowing at least some of the work you do I think I’d like to do the same”.
