All I could think was well that shit is over.

“Do you remember the restaurant's name?”

“Yes, I need to plan another trip to Seattle. I had such an amazing time when I went.”

“How was your dinner?”

I laugh softly.

“My brothers said thank you. Were you trying to feed a football team?”

“Your smallest brother is six feet four inches tall and all of two hundred and thirty-five pounds. “Not to mention you’re what seven feet tall and three hundred and fifty pounds? I was feeding a football team.”

I couldn’t argue with that.

“Was there any food left?”

“No,” I say and we both laugh. Point taken.

We finally reach the destination. I park and come around to help her out.

“What is this place, Joshua?” “You’ll see”, I tell her as I take her hand and walk her to the side door. I didn’t want to go to the front because then the surprise would be over, and I can’t wait to see her reaction.

We walk down the hall and reach the office door and I knock.

The door opens and a tall lanky guy answer.

“Josh!”

“Hi Matt, how have you been?”

“Good, good, and you must be Savannah.”

“I am”

“Well, it’s nice to meet you.”

“You as well.”

He looks at me and says. “You didn’t lie.”

Savannah looks up at me, but I act like I don’t see her looking at me.

“Well, let's go to the main area and we can get started.”

We walk the rest of the way down the hallway, and I notice Savannah walking much closer than she was before. I look down at her,” no need to be scared. I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.”

She seems to release a breath and relax a little. When we get to the end of the hall it opens up to a huge round open space. Matt walks over to a cabinet and pulls out a gauntlet and puts it on. Once he does that he steps out to the middle of the room and lifts the covered arm and the next thing we hear is a whistling sound seconds before a bird lands on the gloved hand.

She lets out a little scream and damn near climbs up my side. I wrap her in my arms as I laugh at her.

“Don’t laugh at me, Joshua I wasn’t expecting big bird to come flying through the room.”

“She’s not that big”, Matt says through his laughter,

“Savannah meet Sugar, she is a Gyrfalcon and she’s thirteen-years old. She can live up to twenty years. I have had her since she was a chick. She is the largest type of falcon. As he is talking, he walks over to another cabinet and pulls out the brand-new gauntlet I bought for her and walks over to her and hands her the glove. She takes the glove, unwraps herself from my arm and starts to put the glove on. Once it’s on she notices her name branded into the leather.

“Joshua?”
