Page 2 of Holiday Ride

I take a couple of steps backward while giving the couple a friendly wave, halting when I bump into something. My eyes widen when I spin on my heels to see that I bumped into a someone, not a something.

I instinctively move to steady the woman I’ve just trampled over like a clumsy ox. “Whoa, there, little lady.”

I grip her bare shoulders as she turns her head to look at the monster who almost bowled her over.My chest squeezes as I gaze into the clearest blue eyes I've ever seen. They’re the light blue of a cloudless summer day.

I barely have time to take in the wavy blonde hair that tumbles over her shoulders, a little upturned nose, and perfectly formed pink lips before those pretty blue eyes narrow, and she hisses at me venomously, “Watch where you're going!”

I blink, startled at her tone.

She pulls her shoulders from my grip and stomps away, tossing her head like a spirited filly.

I gape after her, my eyes trailing over the long legs revealed by her jean shorts. She’s got a tiny waist under the loose white tank top she's wearing, and those perfectly formed tits … not to mention her ass …

Fuuuck.

I’m about to go after her to apologize when my phone rings. In the split second it takes to look down at the screen, I lose her. She’s nowhere to be seen.

I frown and shake my head as I take the call, scanning the vicinity for any glimpse of her.

It’s probably for the best. She looked at me like I was a bug under her shoe, and it's obvious she had a stick up her ass a mile long. I’m the last person she wanted to talk to.

Still, for the rest of the day, I can't get the image of the tiny blonde woman out of my head. When I close my eyes that night, I dream of crystal blue skies framed by thick, dark lashes.
