The most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen with sunshine in her hair, the ocean in her eyes, and a laugh that makes a man believe there might really be a god out there somewhere.
I haven’t been able to get her out of my mind. I’ve dreamed of her every night, seen her shimmering eyes every time I close my eyelids, wondered what the touch of her skin would feel like underneath my fingertips, what she smells like, tastes like.
I’ve been fantasizing about the girl nonstop, my thoughts even drifting to her when I’m supposed to be working.
And now here she is in my building by some fucking miracle, like an ethereal angel sent down to ease my tortured mind and grace me with her sunshine.
“Victoria,” I address my secretary without ever taking my eyes off the girl from the beach, “who is this?” My eyes sweep over the girl that I’ve only ever seen in a white bikini. She’s wearing a pretty yellow sundress that I can’t help but think is perfect for her. It’s bright and cheery and light—just like her.
“Well, sir,” my secretary trips over her words, “she, um, she wanted to speak with you, but she doesn’t have an appointment, and your schedule is already booked up as it is.”
“Move everything back,” I tell her, still without looking away from the girl I was starting to believe I’d never see again. “Come in, miss…?” I leave the sentence hanging as I step back and motion for her to enter my office, dying to know her name.
“Hatley,” she tells me as she looks up at me with wide eyes. “Summer Hatley.”
She takes a few tentative steps forward before she walks past me into my office.
I inhale her scent as she passes me. She smells like salt and sun and coconut and something sweetly citrusy. She’s smells like goddamned sunshine, and I want nothing more than to eat her up.
“Thank you so much for agreeing to see me,” she says, looking up at me gratefully.
She brightens up my whole office with her blonde hair and little yellow dress. I can’t get over how tiny is. She looks like a little doll, and my fingers itch to touch her.
“Dane Rushing,” I extend a hand out to her as I tell her my name, not about to pass up the opportunity to touch her. “How can I help you?”
She takes my proffered hand, and it’s like I’ve been electrocuted, the touch of her small hand sending a bolt of lightning throughout my entire body.
She blushes and pulls her hand back quickly after I give hers a brief squeeze. Did she feel it too?
She straightens her shoulders as if she remembers why she’s here and pulls a piece of paper from her purse. “Mr. Rushing,” she begins, but I interrupt her.
“Call me Dane.”
She pauses before she acquiesces to my request. “Dane,” she says, and I about come in my pants right then. Christ, the way she says my name…all I can think about is how much I’d like to hear her screaming it while I’m buried balls deep inside her.
“I have a petition here from all the tenants who live in the building you just bought. We’re hoping that we can change your mind about tearing the place down.” I stare at her in confusion as I take the paper she’s holding out to me, my eyes barely flicking down to it before I raise them back up to her. Is she talking about the place on A1A? The building I’d been inspecting when I’d first seen her? She bites her lip and shuffles from foot to foot, her nerves obviously getting the better of her. God, all I can do is stare at the puffy lip that she’s only made pinker with her teeth. What I wouldn’t give to bite down on it, suckle it like a ripe peach.
Jesus.
“We realize that it’s just another investment property to you, but we were hoping that you might be persuaded to change your mind if you saw that it’s more than just an old building to us. It’s,” she stumbles over her words before she finishes, “It’s our home, and if you kick us out, some of us have nowhere else to go. Some of us are barely making ends meet right now as it is,” she adds.
I notice the way she says “we” and “us.” My god, does this girl live in one of my properties? It makes perfect sense, though. That’s where I’d first seen her—on the beach behind my newly acquired property. It had never occurred to me that she was one of the tenants of that shitty building I planned on leveling the first opportunity I got.
All this time, she was literally right under my nose…
“So that’s why you were there…” I muse out loud.
She looks shocked. “You remember me?”
My eyes take in the halter top of her dress. A quick flick of the wrist to untie where it’s knotted in place around her neck and the dress would come tumbling down to reveal her little tits, ripe for the sucking.
I feel my cock stiffen within my slacks. “Of course I remember you,” I answer her honestly. “I’ve thought of nothing else but you since that day.”
Her mouth drops open into a little “o” before she snaps it shut and blushes prettily.
Then, she suddenly straightens her shoulders and attempts to look all business-like as she says, “So, Mr. Rushing, do you think you’ll consider our petition?”
My lips twitch. She’s adorable. “Dane,” I correct her again. “Call me Dane.”
