“You would be surprised what you can become accustomed to.” The look he gave her said there was more than the surface message in those words.

Though she had no clue what it was meant to be.

“Maybe,” she said noncommittally as she pulled out plates and cutlery. “What if I’d already eaten?”

“Have you?”

“No.”

“Then the point is moot.”

“I suppose. I’m sure I told you I would be busy packing.”

“You need to eat.”

Her stomach chose that moment to growl, and she didn’t even bother trying to deny it. “I’ll plate up.”

It took only a minute or so to do just that, and then she cleared away the detritus of the takeaway, something she’d always done when eating takeout at home.

She liked sitting at the table and eating off plates, using real forks.

He settled in one of her dining chairs, and the table that was large enough to accommodate her family for holiday dinners suddenly felt intimate. “Have you booked your vacation yet?”

“No.” She took a bite of her pasta, savoring it and realizing at once how hungry she’d gotten. “There are tons of trips I could take to Southern Cali, or Mexico.”

“But nothing for Abu Dhabi?”

“Nothing.” Well, not nothing, but no trips in her price range.

He gave her a warm look. “Perhaps I can help.”

“Have you taken up travel bookings in all that spare time you don’t have?” she asked while doing her best to pretend her entire body wasn’t responding to that look.

“Not personally, but I have staff.”

“And you asked them to look into a trip for me?” she asked, surprised.

“Forus.”

Warning bells started clanging in her head. “What do you mean?”

“A tsunami of bad timing hit us last week, but we were far from done with each other, milaya.”

He was talking about sex. Jenna’s body gave a bigwhompof response to the thought. “I thought you were in the middle of a huge deal.”

“We finalized it last week when I was in Mirrus. It will make the company millions and provide additional infrastructure on Mirrus.”

“That’s amazing.” It couldn’t be easy to provide local jobs for an island country that limited tourism.

“Thank you. I thought so. My brothers were both pleased, as well.”

And that would be important to a man who was every bit as alpha as either of his older brothers but would always be the youngest sibling.

“I deserve to celebrate,” Dima proclaimed.

“You seem like the kind of man who celebrates one good deal by starting another one, not going on a trip with your current casual sexual partner.”

“Usually you would be right, but you see, this woman I cannot get out of my system, she wants to go on a vacation.”
