Finding The Girl Of My Dreams

11

Jimmy

Not As Cool As Jo

Ipull up to the restaurant and groan. She’s already here. Already waiting. In a tiny little red dress and heels that brings her eyes up to mine, she practically vibrates with excitement as I climb out of the Jeep and head to the front entrance. “Hey, Belle.”

No coat, just a teeny tiny red dress. She must be freezing. “Hey, Jimmy.”

It’s time I man the fuck up. Stop picking out things I don’t like about her; her height. Her shoes. Her. And instead, I challenge myself to find things I do like. Her smile is okay. Her knuckles aren’t bruised up like most everyone else I know.

I have a virginity to lose, and Belle has an unending fount of enthusiasm to make me happy.

Win win.

She wouldn’t even have to know. It would just be sex, I’d never tell her she was my first, and she could probably teach me what I need to do.

No doubt, I’ll shatter her expectations of a badass fighter horn-dog, but if I smile enough, she won’t pay attention to what I do and don’t know.

She leans into me as soon as I’m close enough, and presses her fire-engine-red lips to my cheek. Her tits literally hit my chest long before her lips. I’m repulsed by her lips on my cheek, hell, by her flesh touching mine.

I’m repulsed by my thoughts.

If any man ever thought of Izzy the way I think of Belle, I’d kill him. Even if he never said it out loud, I’d kill him for ever thinking it.

I don’t like Belle, but she deserves more respect than what I’m showing.

Taking her arm and settling her back on her heels, I smile.Fake it, fucker, because this is it for you. You don’t get Iz today. You may never get her, but you sure as shit ain’t getting her today, so suck it up, use the condoms you brought tonight. Man the fuck up.

Threading her arm in mine, I silently lead her out of the cold and into the not-busy restaurant. The hostess meets us with a smile and leads us to our table. Taking our drink orders and promising to be back in a moment, I sit across from Belle and find I have nothing to talk about.

Absolutely nothing comes to mind. How’s the store? Oh, you know, we got new crates of milk today.

“So, Jim.” Belle smiles and looks up from beneath her lashes.

She’s going for sultry, but it’s nothing like how Iz smiles at me. Or how I go rock hard when Iz bites her lip innocently and peeks up through her lashes.

It’s apples and oranges.

I really want my apple right now.

“I really wanna say thanks for coming out with me tonight.”

I simply grunt, because I have no better response, and when our drinks are delivered a moment later, I dive at my beer and chug half the glass in one go.

My phone flashes from where I set it on the table. Bobby’s name demands I answer, but with a frown, I hit the decline and smile at Belle. “Sorry.”

He knows I’m here tonight. He knows I’m with Belle.

And I know he doesn’t approve.

“It’s okay.” She swirls her wine and sits back until her forearms push her breasts higher. “How are things? I haven’t seen you around in a while.”

I’ve been around. I’ve just been hiding.“All good at my place. Just hanging with my family.”
