“Fuck!” I heard Dimitry’s groan but I was too far gone in my own pleasure. He thrusted again, and then again while my pussy clenched around his cock. Then I felt him emptying inside me, hot cum shooting into me before we both collapsed onto the floor.

The heavy breathing from the two of us was the only noise breaking the silence of the night. The mind blowing pleasure he gave me was quickly becoming an intense need.

“You okay?” he asked in a ruggedy tone.

I could barely raise my head to meet his eyes, but my lazy smile must have been an answer enough. He smiled back, shaking his head.

“You are fucking amazing,” he mumbled softly, his mouth taking mine into an all consuming kiss.

“You did all the work.” My voice was raspy from the intense feelings booming inside my chest, my body consumed by the sweetest ache.

I laid my head against Dimitry’s chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. I pressed my body close against him, like he was my own shield around me. His unique, masculine scent was all around me. The constant rhythm of his heartbeat slowly became all I focused on, my mind slowly shutting down.

Chapter Thirty-Five

Dimitry

Anastasia snuggled next to me, her body pressed against mine as her breathing slowly evened out. She was unlike anyone I had ever met or had. The taste of her, and how she responded to me was an aphrodisiac. There was no chance of me giving that up. Unless she rejected me, I would be a fool to ever let her go. I was willing to fight and kill for her, burn down the world for her.

Her palm was over my chest; over the tattoo of the sacred heart. My heart beat under her palm, and each pump of the blood into it was for her. She was my reason for breathing. I had never felt more content than now, with her in my arms. She was falling in love with me. Even after I admitted to her I made my first kill at eight and had done more since, she didn’t shy away. She didn’t care that my mother was a common prostitute, a drug addict, nor that I had no idea who my father was. My woman was resilient, strong with a beautiful soul and body… and she was all mine.

The only thing that hindered my complete happiness right now was the fear of being left by her. She still didn’t know that the rússkaya máfiya I was part of was one and the same that Boris led. The one that killed her mother. The only way to repay Anastasia from withholding that truth was to kill Boris.

I knew Boris was roaming the world right now, hunting for her. I wanted to hunt him, corner him, kill him. But I didn’t want to risk leaving Anastasia behind with anyone else. The ruthless killer in me demanded I go after him and finish him off.

My fingers tangled gently through Anastasia’s soft hair, her scent drifting all around the room. Everything about her was soft, so unlike everything about me. I couldn’t remember a single moment in my entire life when I was soft towards anyone; or anyone towards me.

“I saw you roaming my territory, boy.” We were both in a dark alley, right on the outskirts of Moscow.

I knew better than to attract the attention of Boris Jovanov or his men. Luckily, this was just one of his men. I could handle him.

Nikolai, Sergei, and I have been getting bolder with our stealing. The more money I could steal, the sooner we’d be able to leave the orphanage and never go back. I had to make sure we had enough so Sergei and Nikolai were taken care of. I was ready to leave but couldn’t risk my two brothers’ lives. Especially Sergei. He was still too young, and it would attract the attention of the authorities.

I didn’t answer this guy, just stared him down. He looked rough, like an ex-sailor, and smelled like dead fish. Although I was only thirteen, I had the build of an eighteen-year-old. And I used it to my advantage. I wouldn’t back off until I got what I wanted… and that was freedom for my brothers and me.

“You are going to give me what you stole today, and I’ll let you live.” He thought he was my superior. He had another thing coming.

“No.”

“I will kill you, boy.” His left hand wrapped around my neck. Before he had a chance to squeeze, I grabbed his arm and twisted it inside out, his bones cracking as I did.

I pushed him away from me and he fell backwards onto his ass. There was confusion in his eyes, trying to understand how I outmaneuvered him. Then he pulled out the gun and pointed it at me. My heart didn’t speed up, my short life didn’t flash in front of my eyes. As I stared down the barrel of a gun, I didn’t feel anything but hollowness.

“You are going to die now, boy.”

Before his last syllable left his lips and he could pull the trigger, I reached his arm, twisting it. His yelp echoed through the empty alley. Turning him away from me, his hand behind him, I snapped his neck. His last vision of the garbage container. I let go of him and his body slumped onto the ground, onto his back. I watched his lifeless eyes stare up at the sky as his body lay limp on the dirty ground, trash all around us. We were trash surrounded by trash.

As I stared at the body at my feet, I knew it would bring Boris to my doorstep. Not that I had a doorstep for him to come to. He’d catch up to me as I roamed the streets.

It took Boris all of twenty-four hours to locate me. I didn’t make it hard for him to find me.

“Are you waiting for me, Dimitry?” So he knew my name already. Good, he better remember it. Boris claimed Moscow was his city, but what he didn’t know was that he’d lose it one day soon. Might not be tomorrow, next month, or next year. But his time was coming to an end.

“You are waiting for me.”

Boris actually laughed. It was a sadistic laugh. “You have courage, boy. I’ll give you that.”

I didn’t dignify him with an answer. I didn’t care what he thought. He observed me, his eyes sly and calculating. “I’ll tell you what, boy. Since I am one man short, why don’t you join my team?”
