His warm mouth and stubbled face slowly moved down the side of my neck, and of its own will, my head tilted to allow him better access. The sensation was pure adrenalin, making my heart race. His teeth grazed my pulse, and a moan left my lips. His kisses were languorous as he tasted my skin, awakening every cell in my body.
As he lifted his head, I wondered why he stopped and reluctantly opened my eyes. His eyes were directly in front of mine, hot desire burning in his gaze, which I knew matched my own. God, I had never wanted anything as much as I wanted him. My body burned with desire for him. If his kiss and touch alone made me react so wildly, I’d never survive having sex with this man.
“Be sure, milaya… because once you are mine, I won’t let go.”
A sharp inhale left my lips at the possessiveness in his voice.
This man and his kisses are dangerous but so exciting!I wanted more of him.
Chapter Nineteen
Dimitry
Iwant her. Every single inch of her.
I saw the surprise in her eyes at my attempt to stake a claim. I wanted to stamp my mark on her so everyone would know she was mine. It was a selfish, possessive move on my part but when it came to Anastasia Manciatti, I wanted it all. Now that I had tasted her and felt her body against mine, I was a lost man.
I knew she deserved better than me. She was born into old money and power. I was powerful and rich as fuck because I was willing to kill, steal, and all the other things most people wouldn’t do for money. I owned half of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York because I had no scruples.
The knock on the door saved her from my further advances. My cock throbbed hard, aching for her.
“Who is it?” Anastasia answered in a slightly breathless voice, a blush coloring her cheeks while her eyes never wavered from me.
“It’s me,” Nikolai called out and added. “I need Dimitry.”
Anastasia’s cheeks turned bright red, realizing he knew we spent the night in the same room. All the men that were currently in the house would have heard him, and smugly, I was satisfied that now they would not dare touch her. She has been marked for me.
“I’ll be right out,” I shouted out. I didn’t want to leave her right now, but it was probably better she had some time to herself.
I quickly got ready. I was aware of Anastasia watching my every move, from brushing teeth to getting dressed. It was oddly intimate and I could almost imagine going through everyday life with her by my side. I caught her gaze lingering on my ass and she smiled shyly when she noticed she was caught.
“Have you ever shot a gun?” I asked her, buckling the holster before sliding in the gun. She shook her head frowning in response to my question. “Today we’ll have self-defense lessons, and I’ll teach you how to shoot a gun.”
“I don’t like guns,” she muttered.
I could have guessed as much. But the way things were going, it was a risk. She needed all the protection she could get. “We’ll do it after lunch.”
She was still sitting in the bed, and I couldn’t resist going to her to place a kiss on her lips. She returned the kiss, as if we did this million times. There was no reservation or holding back when she kissed me back.
As soon as I exited the room, Nikolai was there waiting for me, with a stupid grin on his face.
“Seriously?” I told him in Russian. “Don’t you have something better to do than sit in front of Anastasia’s bedroom door?”
“I don’t,” he replied. “Her father called.”
I instantly tensed. “What did he want?”
“The FBI lost Boris. Interpol and the CIA picked up the case,” Nikolai’s expression was grim. We knew what that meant. Boris managed to leave the country and was probably on his way to Russia. If he wasn’t here already. There were no coincidences in our line of profession. Yesterday’s attack meant Boris’ men knew exactly who had Anastasia.
“We’ll have to make sure we keep moving.”
Nikolai nodded. “I talked to the men and we’ll stay another day, max two here. I’m laying out a plan for moving but only three of us will know where we are going next and the route we’ll be taking.”
“How is Sergei?”
“Anastasia did a good job with him. His fever is completely gone and he’s recovering quickly.”
Anastasia came out the door and stopped dead in her tracks. She recovered quickly and smiled at Nikolai, a slight blush on her cheeks. “Is this where important meetings take place?”
