I writhed against his body, my pussy clenching his cock. He lets me sink to the mattress, fisting my hair before fucking me relentlessly until I finally am screaming. It felt like a never-ending orgasm, blinding pleasure rolling through my body wave after wave until he finished in a series of brutal thrusts. His body tensed, cock twitching as I felt him fill me up. When he finally slipped out of me, I missed the feeling of him against me, the feeling of his hands on my body.
He helped me stand, letting me catch my breath before helping me slip the dress back over my shoulders. Retying the silk ribbon, he smoothed down my skirt, untangling the knotted hair from our fucking. Those dark eyes caught mine, burning bright, saying everything I knew he couldn’t. Tonight would be the night we finally ended this, and we would either come out the victors or just another body in a bag.
“I meant what I said.” Dante brushed the hair from my shoulder, his eyes tracing every line, every curve of my face as if memorizing it for all eternity. “You will always be mine. No matter what happens.”
My hand cupped his cheek, feeling the stubble against my palm. “And you will always be mine.”

DANTE
The auction was being held at one of New York’s most esteemed auction houses in Manhattan's upper east side. David drove us there in his van, parking a block away. While Killian, Sienna, and I headed inside, he’d stay out on the street to monitor things in case they got out of hand. That had been my idea. I didn’t know David, even if we had been living with him for a week or so. And that meant I still didn’t trust him.
There was something David wasn’t telling us. I could feel it like an itch that just couldn’t be scratched. Everything in me told me not to trust him. My gut was screaming at me that David was holding back, not telling us the whole truth. But I had no proof, so I said nothing. Besides, Sienna did trust him, and I trusted her. That was the only thing that kept me from killing him right then and there, just to get rid of him.
David passed the building slowly, giving us a chance to check the outside before he was to stop and let us out. Limousines and town cars pulled up to the white building, couples and single men entering the double doors beneath the awning. The building housed multiple floors, a few art galleries and ballrooms. From the schematics we’d pulled from the Internet, I knew there were back entrances and staircases for the workers to use to stay out of the way of the rich as they browsed. Killian would be the one to stalk those halls while Sienna and I watched from the crowd.
The plan was simple. We were the bait, set to lure the Snake from whatever mask they’d be hiding behind. Once they saw we were there, Killian would come from behind and, hopefully, take them out with no one knowing the wiser. The plan was rocky, and I could see a lot of shit going wrong. But, without the usual resources, it was all we had.
I didn’t like using Sienna as bait. Her role was mostly to stand there and look pretty, letting me know if anyone approached her. She had no part in any of the expected action, and that’s how I wanted to keep it. Catching the Snake was our priority, but keeping her safe was at the top of my list. I knew she wouldn’t have wanted to stay home. She would have just found a way to come on her own anyway. At least here, I could keep an eye on her.
Which was definitely the easiest part of this job. Sienna looked good in anything she wore, but that dress tonight had made me harder than a rock the instant I saw her in it. Just knowing that I could have her naked with one slip of that bow around her waist had me wanting to fuck her every time I caught her eye. But the pounding I’d given her back at the house would have to suffice.
Her arm was looped through mine as we walked towards the front entrance. Two bouncers at the front were checking people’s tickets, matching it to whatever list they had on that iPad of theirs. Just before we reached the front of the line, I heard my name. Sienna’s head whipped towards the musical tones of the female voice, instantly on guard.
I closed my eyes before turning around, a grim smile on my lips. “Layla.”
Layla sashayed towards us, her heels clicking against the sidewalk. She wore a tantalizingly tight red dress, her breasts nearly spilling from the plunging neckline. It had no sleeves, holding on to her tits for dear life as she walked. Layla’s midnight hair spilled over her shoulders in soft waves, a gleaming, silver beret holding it back from her face. She clutched a red bag to her side, matching her scarlet nails.
“I’m so glad you could make it.” She gripped my arms, leaning in for a kiss on the cheek. I could feel Sienna bristling beside me and could already hear the words at the tip of her tongue.
“Layla, this is my wife, Sienna.” I stepped back, a part of me waiting for Sienna to rake her nails down Layla’s pretty face.
Sienna’s cold smile turned on the other woman, eyes glinting dangerously. The two of them sized each other up, though, to me, there was no comparison. It didn’t matter how beautiful Layla was—Sienna outshone her in every single way that mattered. Sienna held out her hand. “It’s so nice to meet you.”
“Likewise.” Layla took it without hesitation, her teeth flashing. “Dante never mentioned he had a wife.”
Fucking liar, I thought, though I wasn’t bothered by it. Sienna would sort her out soon enough.
“I’m sure he did,” Sienna said sweetly. “However, he failed to mention you to me in the past few months we’ve been married. I hope you have a wonderful time.”
I let her lead me towards the front doors, leaving Layla to fend for herself on the street. I snorted as soon as we were far enough away. “That was sort of hot. Maybe I should bring around other women more often.”
“Not if you’d like to keep your precious jewels,” Sienna bit back, forcing a smile as I handed the bouncers our tickets. I grimaced at her side, just the thought of her taking any sort of sharp object to my balls making them tense up.
They scanned the list, looking bored. I’m sure guarding the rich as they bartered more money these guys made in five years wasn’t exactly a highlight of their job. The ticket numbers must have popped up because they waved us in a few seconds later. Gripping my arm, Sienna stepped through the doors at my side.
The hall opened up into a short corridor, doors lining the walls. People mingled between the rooms, overflowing into the hallway. There were a few people I recognized, though they were still small fish in the very big pond of the underground. If they were surprised to see either Sienna or me here, they didn’t show it too openly. There were still whispers as we passed by, though.
Sienna, for her part, held her head high. Despite being out of the picture for so long, she fit right in. Her glossy hair brushed against her lower back in soft waves, her eyes bright from the makeup lining her lids. All in all, she looked stunning, and I had to consciously fight to keep my thoughts from hyper-fixating on her alone. All I could think about was lifting that short skirt, pressing her against the wall, and taking her in front of all these people.
We wandered the rooms for a bit, checking out the art I knew to be stolen from some such gallery or another. My eyes scanned the crowd every now and then, checking to see who had come and if any of them could possibly be our prey. Only a few managed to meet my eye, most preferring to let their gazes slide past to avoid my attention. They’d undoubtedly had heard about what had happened, how I had left everything to my new wife and gone AWOL. I let them think what they wanted to. If it struck fear in their hearts enough to not mess with us while we were vulnerable, then so be it.
From the looks on their faces, they’d heard everything. A few eyed me warily as if they half-expected me to turn rabid right here and now, murdering them all in cold blood. A few of the men I knew had a redder ledger than I, gave me looks of approval, some of respect. But mostly, I just saw fear. That didn’t bother me as much as it might have. Before, I would have been ashamed. I would have felt uncomfortable with the attention for something I couldn’t make peace with. But that was before, and this was now. Everything had changed in just a few short weeks. For once, this fear would keep us safe. At least until we finally caught the Snake.
“Keep your ears open,” I whispered. “We need to get into the back auction, the one that won’t be out front and open.”
Sienna took a glass of water from one of the server’s trays, taking a slight sip. She dropped her voice to avoid being overheard. “Let’s hope your little friend was wrong. Because, if it’s true, then this is more serious than ever before. If those weapons get into the hands of our enemies…our family will be done for even if we manage to kill the Snake.”
