“Move,” he ordered me as he thrust up.
“Gladly.” I started to rock my hips over him, both of us moaning as I lifted myself off of him and slammed back down. He leaned back to watch me bounce myself on his dick, using him to reach my release. I gasped once it started to roll through me, my thighs clamping around him as I fell over the edge.
“Yes,” he urged, taking over and slamming into me. “Touch yourself, Farren.” I did as he said, teasing over my clit despite how sensitive I was. My orgasm had just stopped shocking through me, but the moment I began teasing myself, I was already ramping up for another.
Avi fucked me ruthlessly, using his strength to lift me up and slam me down on himself. I lost myself in him; the only thing I could focus on was how fucking amazing he felt inside of me and the scents swirling around us in a heady fog.
He slammed me down one more time, holding me there as he let out a low groan. I used that moment to lean forward and leave a trail of teasing bites down his neck. He took over for me, swirling his fingers around my clit until I let out a whimper, clamping my teeth down on his shoulder as I came hard. My body clenched around him, and I closed my eyes against the onslaught.
We stayed like that for several moments as we caught our breath. The same connection that I felt with the others locked into place with us, linking us closer together. There was still a long way to go for us, but now there was no looking back.
“We're definitely staying here tonight,” he declared. “I need to taste every part of you before this night is done.”
“I can arrange that,” I promised, pulling off of him and walking into the nest with a casual sway of my hips. By the time he joined me, I was already splayed out on the mattress. He slowly dragged his eyes over me before dropping to the floor and diving between my legs.
It was about to be a long night, and I was going to enjoy every fucking moment of it.
ChapterNine
Farren
“Farren!” I stopped at the sound of my name. The voice was unfamiliar, so I turned and glanced around, curious who it was. A woman with dark hair and a friendly smile rushed over. She appeared to be human, and I remembered her hanging with Alice’s coven.
“Hello…”
“Angela,” she said with a smile. “Look, I know things are hard, and you don’t remember me. But I just wanted to tell you that you saved my life. I had an abusive ex, and you made sure West kicked him out and offered me sanctuary here. If I had stayed with that monster, I wouldn’t be alive today. Just know that we stand behind you.”
Emotion choked me up. I did all of that? Then again, no matter what memories I was missing, I knew damn well that I’d definitely speak up if I witnessed something like that.
“Thank you, Angela. That means a lot to me,” I told her honestly.
“Queen!” The urgency in Roman’s voice had me freezing, and within seconds, I was surrounded by a circle of tense dragons.
“Could someone tell me what’s going on?” I demanded, but the wall of my protectors was impenetrable.
“He’s here,” Roman informed me in a cold tone. The harsh words weren’t directed at me, but I shivered nonetheless—not out of fear of Roman, but fear of the monster lurking in the halls of Mountainview. Had he come back for me?
Something tugged at my body, a familiar buzz of magic zapping toward me before it was cruelly yanked away again, leaving me even more hollow than before.
“He’s getting away!” A few of the dragons parted from my protective circle, and then they were off.
“It was one of the new dragons!” someone else called out in response. I still couldn't see past them all to make out who was speaking.
“Where’s my mate!?” Levi demanded. The dragons parted for him and Avi, letting them rush forward to pull me into their arms. Kane wasn’t with him, so I knew damn well he was leading that charge.
“This way,” West answered.
Walking alongside him with a brood of dragons still stuck by my side wasn’t easy, but he led me to the old storage room next to his office. When he pulled the door open, there was a panic room of sorts inside. It held a small couch, a crib, and a shelf of snacks.
The dragons let me enter first, then Levi and Avi joined me. The moment we were inside, the walls flared with magic runes, the violent flash of purple locking us safely inside. Two dragons took post at our door before the rest rushed off to join the hunt.
“I should be out there,” I growled in frustration. “What kind of queen sits and hides away?”
“The kind of queen carrying dragonlings and our future generation,” one of the guards called out.
“They are protecting you, Farren,” Avi said gently. “They need their queen safe. They’ve already let you down once in their and our eyes. Let us keep you safe.”
If anything happens to Kane…
