“This is everything I got,” I say as she lets go of my hand and begins looking through it.

“Oh shit! Tito, you got everything I love? How did you—”

“I pay attention.” I bite my grin as she turns back to the food, grabbing one of the plates and filling it with everything she can. While she finds a spot on the bed, I take the liberty to set up the projector. I flick the switch on the wall that drops down the projector screen, close the door and grab myself a plate.

“So, how does this work?” Scout asks when I’m sitting next to her on the bed.

“The projector?”

“Yeah. I don’t see a remote….”

“It’s on here.” I wave my phone and open the app I designed for myself with every anime movie or series that I love. I addedSailor Moonto it after our date at the pizza shop a few weeks ago. It’s better if she chooses tonight. After all, she is my guest. I hand her the phone just after it connects to the projector.

“Whatever series or movie you want to watch, we’re doing it.” Her eyes go wide as she scrolls through.

“This isn’t Netflix.”

“No.” I grin.

“What is it?”

“I designed it.”

“What do you mean?”

“I made an app a couple of months ago. Wanted to have everything in one place.”

“Is this legal?”

“I mean… no.” I look down at her, and she raises her brows, seeming like she’s thinking about something that I can’t quite figure out.

“Hmm.” She finally concludes before focusing back on my phone, scrolling through the options of different series. I watch as she hovers her thumb overCowboy Bebop.

“Interesting choice,” I say before she presses it.

“Why?” She stops, eyes genuinely filled with curiosity.

“Because, it's only the greatest anime show to date.”

“...Says who?”

“Come on!” I’m shocked that she’s even debating with me on this.

“What?” She laughs, turning her body towards me.

“It’s iconic.”

“I wanna watch it,” she concludes and clicks on it.

“Wait, you’ve never seen it?”

“No.”

“What?!” I yell accidentally, and she jumps a little. “I’m sorry.” I place a hand on her shoulder. “It’s just… What?” I repeat in a quieter tone, and she scrunches her nose.

“I’ve heard of it, okay? I’ve just never thought to watch it.” I nod slowly, and she lets out a laugh.

“You’re disappointed,” she concludes, popping an entire sushi piece into her mouth.
