Then I pushed my finger in and curled it, finding that rough spot on her wall as I sucked her clit into my mouth, massaging it lightly with my teeth.
She went board-straight, her legs locked around my head and then screamed bloody murder.
“Jeremiah! Oh my god, yes! Yes, please!”
I ate her out over and over, her juices trailing down my chin into my beard. I finally sat up when she couldn’t even get up the energy to scream again. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly and I wished to fuck I had torn her shirt off because I needed to see her breasts in the moonlight. I needed to see that heavenly vision above everything else..
But when her eyes opened, I saw fear.
“Are you okay, Midge?”
She pulled her pants on and fussed with them. “Yeah, why wouldn’t that be alright. It was amazing, right?”
“Yeah, it was, Midge. You’re sure you’re alright. You look scared.”
“Not scared…no. It’s nothing. I better get inside. I’ll call you tomorrow about that date, Jeremiah.”
She scurried up the brick walkway of the ranch house that she inherited from her parents. She didn’t even turn and look at me at the door. Just ducked inside like she was running from me.
I went home and spent the night tossing and turning. When I got the job offer for a few months work at an astronomical rate, I had to take it. And I gave Harvey the space I thought she needed.
Jamie waves her hand in front of my face. “Earth to asshole. What the hell are you thinking about, Jeremiah?”
“What an idiot I am,” I grumble, picking up my sandwich and taking a bite that tastes like cardboard in my mouth.
“Well at least we can agree on that.”
“I really fucked up, didn’t I?”
Amanda’s normally cheery face sobers up quick and that tells me all I need to know. “I think you know the answer to that.”
“I can’t leave her. I love that damn stubborn woman.”
Jamie laughs. “Do me a favor. If you want to use those words, make sure I can watch. I want to see what she does!”
“Ha-ha! Funny. What do I need to do to fix this?”
“You need to tempt her. Slowly and carefully. Because if she thinks you’re pushing her, she’ll run.”
“Yeah, I know.” That’s what happened that night. At least I think so. I pushed her and she was already second-guessing what happened.
“You know we have girls night at Rafe’s bar on Monday, right?”
“I did not know that. So?”
“It’s also karaoke night this week.” A wicked grin tilts her lips and my heart sinks to my toes.
“No. No way. I haven’t sang anything in years.”
“We both know you have a great voice. You just need the right incentive. Isn’t winning Harvey back enough?”
I take a deep breath, closing my eyes like I’m in pain. “Fine. What do you want me to do?”
“I thought you’d never ask. This is what you need to do.”
I wince when she outlines her plan for karaoke night. I’m about to out myself to the whole fucking town and if she rebuffs me it’s gonna burn.
But since I already left her with the mess the first time, it’s only fair that I suffer too.
