He grinned, but the look was rather pathetic when paired with the rest of his dissolved appearance. "I'm pretty sure we're not the spies we think we are," he grunted as he tried to sit up as more of the guys filed in behindme.

"What do you mean?" Marv asked as he moved up to the other side of the hospitalbed.

"You need to stop moving," I snapped when Grayson paused and a groan echoed up hischest.

"Fuck," hehissed.

"That's what happens when you get into a car wreck," Texas commented lightly from behindus.

Grayson chuckled. "Yeah, that's what happens when your crazy mother finds out that you're the reason her accounts are frozen and all of the debt she's accrued isn't getting paid anymore. She goes batshit and tries to killyou."

"What?!" My eyes nearly bulged out of my head and I looked for some place to grab him. I snatched up his hand and held it to my chest as I sat on the very edge of the firm mattress. "Tell me what happened," I demanded. "Tell meeverything."

"Yes," Knix agreed as he stepped into the shrinkingroom.

Grayson groaned again and flopped his head back. I felt like now was as good a time as any to let them know about what Alex had said. Maybe it would help. "Alex said that Iris was willing to help," I said quickly, causing not only Grayson's gaze to shoot to mine but everyone else's aswell.

Grayson frowned. "What?"

I gave him a shaky smile. "Alex likes you," I said. "He told me that if we can't handle the situation with Teddi, then Iris has lawyers and other connections. I thought we had to do this by ourselves, but—"

"Baby, Baby," Grayson squeezed my hand to get me to stop. "It's okay. Whatever happens, it'sokay."

I sniffed hard. "I'm really glad you're okay," Iwhispered.

Grayson lifted his head and grunted as he tried to sit up. "What are you doing?" I snapped. "You're hurt. Stopit!"

"No," he growled back. "My girlfriend is being really fucking sweet and worrying over me and I want to fucking kiss her. That okay withyou?"

"Oh." I paused. "Well, if that's all." I stood up and leaned over him, pressing my mouth to his. He groaned into my lips—a different type of groan, a good feeling one. One that rattled up through my bones and made the place between my legstighten.

When I pulled away, Grayson's eyes were hooded. "You're so fucking lucky we're not alone right now," hesaid.

"I doubt you'd be able to do much in your condition anyway," Marv commented dryly. "Now, are you going to tell us what happened orwhat?"

Grayson rolled his eyes before he grew serious. "I went to my dad's hotel tonight—it's where he's been staying since he's been in town for business. I told him that Teddi's accounts were frozen. He didn't seem shocked by it though. Come to find out—she's been racking up debt in his name for the last few years. He didn't come to town for business, he came to iron things out with hislawyer."

"Did you ask him to do something about her threatening you?" Iasked.

Grayson shifted on the bed, pulling me closer until I was fully seated at his side. Bellamy moved up behind me, his hand falling to myshoulder.

"Apparently, she wouldn't have had any money to do anything except maybe expose the fact that we all live together. Shecan’tdo anything,” heclarified.

I frowned, confused. “But…she tried to buy me off?” Though it was a statement, in my confusion, it came out as aquestion.

“She had a lot of pictures of you, Harlow—but nothing too incriminating,” Grayson explained. “In them, you weren’t doing anything major. Holding hands with multiple guys? To be honest, she made it sound like she had more. And, I mean, she could expose our relationship and the people around here would know. Everyone always wants to know everyone else’s business. You didn’t want thatremember?"

I shake my head. “At this point, I don’t care anymore. Yeah, it’ll suck. But let her. I’m over it. Iris knows, right?” I turned and looked up at Marv and he nodded. “Then it’s fine. It’s not like Iris will fire me over something like this. It’s none of their business.” I bit my lip and then glanced over at Knix. “It wouldn’t affect your job, would it?” Iasked.

"I can’t say for sure, but it doesn’t matter anymore. It sounds like it’s been taken care of?” Knix directed his question to Grayson. “What did your father say?" Grayson turned his head and met the taller man's gaze, but before he could say anything, Texasspoke.

"When the money in her account gets unfrozen, it's all going to be drained," he answered. "It'll go directly to all of the loan sharks she's been fraternizingwith."

"What?" I turned my head. "What do youmean?"

All eyes fell onTexas.

He shrugged. "When I was stealing her identity, it wasn't so I could do anything nefarious with it, it was so I could figure out why she was so hell bent on keeping Grayson and getting to his inheritance. I mean, she's been spending money out the crotch just to keep tabs onus—"
