“I did it,” she says, her voice full of surprise. Those bright blue eyes find mine, a look of awe and disbelief shining in them. This woman is so fuckin’ precious.

I reach out before I can think better of it, cupping the side of her face. She leans into my touch, slowly blinking. “Not so bad, right?” I murmur.

“Can we go again?”

I grin at my brave girl and nod, taking her hand in mine once more.

This time when we head inside, her pace isn’t nearly as slow. I talk to her as we walk up and down the aisle another four times. I tell her about growing up with Griz, Kai, Remy, and Clara. I tell her about my parents and some of the antics that we got up to when we were younger.

With each pass, she relaxes more and more. I even see her watching some of the horses as we pass by.

“Are you okay if I take out Tin here and groom her?” I ask. She studies the gray horse with more than a little trepidation in her features.

“Okay.”

I lead her over to the side and she sits down on the little chair there as I put a halter on Tin and lead her out into the aisle. There are two lead ropes tied to the wall, and I hook her up to them before I fetch a curry brush and start to groom her.

"This is Tin," I tell Kennedy in a soft voice. I can tell she's a breath away from bolting, but I'm so proud of her for coming this far. "I've had her since I was a kid. She was the first horse that was all mine."

“Sh-she’s beautiful,” Kennedy whispers, her voice trembling, much like the rest of her.

"She is," I agree, smiling as I stroke Tin's face. "She's always been so calm and gentle. Do you want to brush her?"

My girl freezes, and I make a conscious effort not to look at her. I focus on brushing out Tin’s neck, giving Kennedy time to process and make a decision.

“O-okay,” she murmurs, grabbing one of the brushes before walking over to join me.

“Here,” I say, wrapping my arms around her from behind and guiding her hand with the brush up to Tin’s side. I press Kennedy’s back against my front, feeling the way our bodies fit together perfectly.

She lets out a shaky breath, but I feel her relax with each measured breath as we slowly brush the majestic horse.

“Not so scary, see?” I whisper in her ear. Kennedy shivers against me, her ass brushing up against my angry cock. Not the time, I warn the fucker.

We work together in silence as we brush along Tin’s right side. With every movement, lust coils tighter inside of me. Having the woman of my dreams pressed so tight against my chest and abs, feeling every one of her curves melt into the slabs of my muscle, is torture. I can barely focus on the task at hand with her curves grinding against me. Each movement is innocent yet entirely wicked, making me shake with need as I swallow down my nearly uncontrollable lust.

By the time we've finished with one side, I feel lightheaded from holding myself back for so long.

“Do you want to do the other side or be done for the day?” I ask her, praying that she says we’re done, but also hoping that this never ends.

“We should probably get to the store,” she says. I nod in agreement, stepping back from her and putting the brush back with the others.

When I turn back, Kennedy is still facing Tin, her hand softly brushing down Tin’s neck. I give her a moment and then she turns back to me.

“How are you feeling?” I ask as I unhook Tin and lead her back to her stall.

“My legs feel kind of weak,” she admits and I wonder if that’s because of the fear or if maybe, just maybe, she was as turned on as I was during our little brushing session.

“Do you want another drink?”Gwen asks me, pointing down to my empty glass.

“Sure!” I call back over the music.

She nods and saunters over to the bar. I watch until I lose sight of her blonde hair in the crowd.

I wasn’t planning on going out tonight, but when Wyatt and I got back from grocery shopping, Monty was waiting for us on the front porch. To be honest, I had almost forgotten about the girl who gave me directions to Wyatt’s when I first arrived at Ford Farm.
