“Kyleigh, we don’t have to go anywhere you don’t want. It might be hard, but I can wait to taste those lips again, because they are going to be mine to enjoy for eternity.”
There was no doubt in my mind that Liam loved me. With the support of my parents, I was no longer afraid to love him back.
“Liam, I believe I owe you an answer. Yes, I’ll go with you to Ireland.”
He held my hand. “I promise you, Kyleigh. I will do everything in my power to make you smile for all the days of your life.”
“Did you really mean it when you said my parents can come too?” I asked.
He replied, “I am not trying to take you out of your world, only trying to make the two into one.”
I smiled. “I have a feeling I am not the only Marzon woman’s heart you have stolen. You won my mother over and I never thought that would happen. How did you do it?”
“I told her all the things I love about you. Guess she loves them, too,” he said. Then he whispered in my ear, “But don’t worry, I didn’t tell her about your chocolate addiction.”
We burst into laughter, and headed back into the house. It was my mom’s birthday, and Liam had no idea that we were about to have chocolate cake.
I don’t know how I got so lucky, but if this is a dream, don’t wake me. Because I’m about to get my happily-ever-after.
There was only one snag. I had to let Finn know I was about to break my contract. He might not be happy, but I have a feeling he won’t be surprised.
