“I wondered where you both went.” The sharp British accent sent shivers down my spine as I glanced up and swallowed hard. Images of the last time I saw him with water droplets as they trickled down his chest as I wanted to lick them off plagued my mind. My core throbbed with the sudden fire and need to be touched by him as he caught sight of me in Freddie’s arms. “Isobel.”
“Christopher.” I felt his name catch in my throat.
“Let’s get you settled at ours before we go on a guided tour of the area, shall we? I’m sure Isobel will be happy to suggest some favorite places too,” Freddie said with a glint in his eye as he gave me an extra squeeze that I couldn’t ignore.
I could see Christopher in many places. My bed.“Absolutely.”
“Fred… Luke,” I uttered the moment we’d gathered all of their bags. “Thank you for coming home. Thank you for being a part of my family. My life wouldn’t be the same without you both in it.”
“Isobel, no matter where we are, you’ll always have us. Whether that be here in New York or even dragging after us one day to London in tow…” Freddie replied, linking an arm with her as Luke grabbed the other side.
“You’d take me to London with you?” I asked in shock as Fred kissed the top of my head.
“Isobel, that little girl will be wanting as much attention as possible.” Luke chuckled.
“She’s already got most of us wrapped around her finger,” Christopher replied, letting out a small laugh.
“Well, I assume she will be needing someone to teach her the best way to shop. London’s famous for it.” I smirked as I began to skip, dragging the guys with me.
“Absolutely. We’re a huge, big family now, Isobel. Just with an ocean separating us.” Freddie turned to Luke and looked at him with glazed eyes as he kept hold of me. “I’ll always travel that last mile of the way for the ones I love. Forever more.”
