I watched her stand as I reached for my glass, unable to take my eyes off her. I wondered if her words were genuine or just a tactic to try to scare me. I downed my drink in one gulp as she turned on her heel to head back toward her two friends dancing the night away.
“Sutton, we’ll both see you in the morning,” I said with a smile across my face. If she wanted to play, she could play with me.
Fuck, I didn’t realise how much that actually made me want her.
“Fine,” she replied as she tried to hide her emotions. She did well except for her small, curled fist. That was all the ammunition I needed.
“Until the morning,” I replied.
Asher slipped out after he finished his drink, with the promise of being in top form tomorrow. He better fucking be, or he’d have much more to worry about than his sister. I watched Sutton dance with the redhead and blonde, as men attempted to trail their hands over her body. I wanted to rip them off her, but she wasn’t mine. Her quick refusal of them all soon settled my anger, but the odd catch of her gaze throughout the night left me with an unknown doubt. Did Miss Wilkinson feel more than she was letting on?
I noticed Gia enter the room and I thought it was time to up the games. She had been the perfect personal assistant and when we split ways, became a great escape and release from reality. A fuck buddy that knew the meaning and the lines and never dared cross over them. Our eyes met across the dance floor just as she neared Sutton, so I made my approach.
“Gia.” I kissed her cheek and the narrowed gaze I received from Sutton started a rumble in my throat that I fought to hide. “Looking as gorgeous as ever.”
I spun Gia around and allowed the material of her blue skirt, that matched my eyes, to fan out as people’s attention was drawn to her. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close and allowed the beat of the music to take control.
“Well Tate, ever the charmer,” Gia replied as I heard the snigger come from my left and I knew whose mouth it’d left.
I moved a blonde curl from Gia’s face and whispered in her ear.
“Want to get out of here? You know how I love your mouth.” I darted my gaze toward Sutton and the flush of her cheeks was rosy and instant. Oh, sweet girl. “The way you swirl that tongue of yours.”
“I do, let’s go,” Gia replied. I couldn’t help but turn my head to catch a glance of Sutton before I left.
A smirk and a big ‘fuck you’ to me as she’d grabbed the nearest guy and had her hands wrapped around him as they danced to a slow torturous beat.

When I woke up the next morning, my head banged and laid over me was Gia. I remembered fucking her, but I must have crashed as I don’t stay the night, ever. Why did I not want blonde hair splayed across me but brunette? I swallowed hard as the night’s activities sprung back to my mind.
Gia’s lips wrapped around my cock as I had wrapped my hand around the back of her head and thrusted deeply inside her mouth until she gagged. She had made me come hard down her throat, but I wasn’t sated at all; it was the visions of another woman on her knees that had caused the intensity.Sutton Wilkinson. What was it with this woman?
I checked the time and shifted my body from underneath Gia as I climbed out of bed, I quickly got dressed. I had ninety minutes to get back to mine, get showered, changed, and ready for the woman and that sharp tongue of hers.
I couldn’t fucking wait.
Chapter5
Sutton
When I woke in the morning, I wondered why I thought a night out was a clever idea. I should’ve refused those last few shots. Both the girls knew how to party, I’d give them that. But after Tate left, I just wanted to forget everything and get wasted. The fucker rubbed that woman, who looked like she’d just walked off a catwalk, right under my nose. What a nerve.
I reached into my handbag and popped a couple of painkillers out of the container, and grabbed a glass of water off my desk, then rubbed my temples until the buzzer on my handset started to go off. I groaned in pain as I leaned forward and hit the button.
“Where’s your assistant?” a voice I hadn’t expected to hear, echoed down the line. “Did she decide you’re not worth the effort this morning?”
“Mr. Hillside, did you ever learn it was rude to contact a CEO in this manner. I may have been with a client?” I retorted back; the man knew exactly which buttons to press.
“May, being the key word in that statement. I know you wouldn’t have picked up if you were,” he replied. “Are you going to let me in or hold our meeting over a handset?”
I put the handset down, took a slow deep breath to calm my nerves, and rose to my feet. Just in time to watch the smug, arrogant Tate Hillside stroll through my door.
“A little worse for wear this morning, Miss Wilkinson?” He snorted as he waltzed in and deliberately slammed the door, giving me a grin that I wanted to knock straight off his face. “Oh, and Billie, that personal assistant of yours, very approachable. Gone for coffees and everything.”
“Oh, so you charmed her,” I snapped as I fell back into the chair and massaged my head.
“Why wouldn’t I?” he joked. “I get what I want, eventually. It’s easier to just give in.”
