“No!” I grab her hands in mine. “Please don’t give this to anyone. Please.” Tears race down my cheeks.
Her eyes widen for a second, and my heart beats fast. Like it used to when I could still run.
What did you do, Alex?
You have to smile. New parents don’t like crying kids. Ms. Day told you this.
But this is Rose. She holds my face between her soft hands. Her fingers are cold like mine when they lightly touch my face. “I won’t. I’ll never do something you don’t like, Alex,” she promises me, and I know she isn’t lying. Rose doesn’t lie.
“I’ll never do something you don’t like, Rose,” I whisper and Zander holds me in his arms.
“Then let’s go to your new home.”
I laugh, I cry, I smile when he throws me up in the air before placing me back in his arms.
I finally found my happy home.

My next book is Clementine Hawthorne’s story. Second True Love. I am sure you are excited to know if Clem finally gets to leave Cherrywood. But do you know, she is going to end up in the house of grumpy, ex-military, single-dad Keith Adams and the most amazing teen in the world Merida. Clementine’s book has charm, humor, angst and all the feels.
Take a look at the blurb below, and do make sure to check the sneak peek of the book in the next chapter:
At an age of twenty-five, I was finally ready to explore the world.
I was free. Out of my mother’s grip. Out of Cherrywood.
I never expected my new world would revolve around a grumpy forty-year old single-dad.
I was supposed to be a short term tenant in Keith’s loft.
I wasn’t supposed to roam in his house, asking him to make me cinnamon latte, and become friends with his daughter.
And most of all, I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with Keith Adams.
But if there’s one thing I know how to do, it’s break the rules.
Keith wants nothing to do with me. He’s still mourning the wife he lost years ago, and the ice around his heart is thick. He claims he doesn’t want love, and definitely not from a girl fifteen years younger than him. He says I need to figure out my life on my own.
But I’m gonna show him I can be what he needs. Even if he doesn’t know yet.
I can be his second true love.
