Jax’s eyes narrowed. “Yeah. He does. Stay away from him.”

“You’re not the boss of me.”

Aria bumped her shoulder into Hunt’s arm. “Can I come live with you?”

Hunt chuckled. “You want three Wilde men being overprotective of you? Because me, Chase, and Max are just like him.”

“Ugh! Save me from all Wilde men.”

Cyn walked back into the main part of the bar with Melody on her tail.

Jax let out a long whistle. “Damn, cuz, you ever let her go, I’ll keep her.”

Hunt stared dumbfounded at Cyn, and said, “Never going to happen.” He’d hold on to her any way he could for the rest of his life.

Cyn stopped in front of him and asked, “What do you think?”

“I should lock you up for being that beautiful and sexy.” He growled and frowned at the skimpy clothes. “Didn’t you promise not to get naked around other people anymore?”

“Only in front of your brothers. Remember?” she teased.

He’d given her the sexy black bra from the dryer this morning to wear under the maxidress she’d exchanged for a pair of black jeans with tears in the knees and thighs, showing off some skin. They fit her like a second skin and were probably a size too small. Over the black bra she wore a sheer red top that had spaghetti straps and draped over her ample breasts to just above her belly button. It left nothing to the imagination. To complete the outfit, she had on a pair of four-inch black boot heels. She’d also put on some red lipstick, darkeyeshadow and thick black eyeliner, giving her an even edgier look.

Jax checked her out from head to foot and back up again. “I’m not his brother. You can get naked with me any time you want.”

“Shut it,” Aria warned Jax. “Or Hunt will knock you on your ass.”

“As long as I fall on top of her.” Jax smiled at Cyn, pure teasing and taunting, nothing more. He obviously liked to relieve the tension in stressful situations with levity.

Cyn didn’t take her eyes off Hunt. “I can do this,” she promised him, knowing exactly how dangerous the situation could be.

He looked desperate to do this any other way than putting her in jeopardy again.

Cyn appreciated that he believed in her to get this done. She looked to Lyric. “Give me the address.”

Lyric took Cyn’s phone and put the address in the map app. “You’ll know the guy who told me about the baby, Viper, by the compass tattoo on the back of his hand. Whatever you do, don’t give it away that he helped you, but know that if things get bad, more than likely he’ll help you.”

Cyn frowned. “More than likely?”

“He’s hard to read. He’ll probably act like you’re a pain in the ass like he does me, but since he called about the baby, presumably he wants to make sure this goes well. Get in, get out as quickly as possible. Oh, and don’t be surprised if they search you for a wire or something. He told me to tell you that.”

Cyn looked down at the transparent shirt. “Where would I hide one?”

Hunt took Cyn’s hand. “You’ll take my truck. I’ll follow you with Lyric in her car. We’ll park down the road and wait for you to come out.” He squeezed her hand. “The thing is, I won’t know if you’re in trouble.”

“You will. Viper said he’d send me a text if things went south.”

Hunt glared. “We’re relying on a guy named Viper, who is loyal to his club.”

Lyric shrugged.

Cyn turned to her. “Do you trust him?”

Lyric bit her bottom lip, then shrugged again. “There’s something off about him. I don’t know if I trust him, but I believe he’ll make sure you and the baby get out safely.”

“Then I’ll trust you.” Cyn held her hand out to Hunt for the keys.

He hesitated in handing them over to her.
