‘It’s professionally written, I think,’ Finn replied.

Conor hadn’t looked as closely as Finn. He eyed the finger-painted ducks and chunky heart stickers on the supposed legal document. ‘I’ll take your word for it.’

‘She said she based it on the one for her and her Daddies, so it should work pretty well for the four of us— I mean the three of us, of course.’

What a strange mistake for Finn to make. ‘Four? You want to get Shay involved?’

‘Feck no,’ Finn said. ‘I mean, not because, you know, I’m not willing to share. It’s just… he’s always so weird around Tammy. Sometimes I swear he feels the same way as we do, but other times, it’s like… I dunno, like she’s a walking, talking wound for him.’

‘Forget Shay. We’ll never know what’s going on in that damn head of his.’

‘Right, let’s take this thing to Tammy; she must be on her lunch break by now.’ Finn sighed.

‘You nervous, bro?’ Conor asked.

‘You bet I am. That kiss this morning…’

‘I want more of that,’ Conor finished.

They’d already broken down the kiss in microscopic detail — how amazing it had made them feel, how like a unit, a trio of people learning to love each other again. They’d already planned how the afternoon might go, who would kiss Tammy first today… and who would get to fuck her first.

Conor just hoped everything went according to plan.

When they turned up at Tammy’s place, Haze was just coming out.

‘Doctor, I appreciate your concern, but I don’t have time for meditation. I barely have time to sneeze.’

Haze always looked stressed, but right now, it looked as though his head was about to blow off. A vein on his forehead was sticking out so far it might as well have been a second nose.

Tammy ran out after him. She was wearing a long white doctor’s coat and had a stethoscope around her neck. Conor found the look so damn sexy. Something about the fact she was a Little, too. The two sides of her which — to anyone who didn’t know her — might seem like they were in direct opposition, actually perfectly complemented each other. The stresses of her job clearly meant that sheneededtime in Little Space. It was kind of beautiful.

‘Haze, I’m not just asking you. I’mprescribingit. Meditation andyoga, every day.’

‘I’m not stressed, not medically. And even if I was, having less time every day would make my stress about a billion times worse.’ He noticed Finn and Conor and acknowledged them with a nod. ‘Healys. If you’re here to see the doctor, watch out — she doesn’t take no for an answer.’

Tammy sighed as Haze walked off. ‘That man is impossible.’ She had her hands on her hips and looked ticked off. ‘He’s like, yourclassiccardiac event risk.’ She covered her mouth with her hand. ‘Oops! The Hippocratic oath! Forget I ever said anything!’

‘Forget what?’ Conor said with a grin.

‘Jeepers, is it lunchtime already?’ Tammy said.

‘You bet,’ Finn said. He held up the picnic basket that Conor had so lovingly filled with healthy grub. ‘Ready to go.’

‘I’m glad to see you,’ she said, ‘just… not that hungry.’

‘Oh really?’ Conor asked, narrowing his eyes. ‘That’s interesting.’

‘Yep,’ she said, looking guilty as sin. ‘Well, let’s go! To the picnic place. Far away from here.’

‘Don’t you need to change out of your doctor’s clobber?’ Finn asked, clearly smelling a rat.

‘Oh, no, it’ll be fine. I’m OK wearing this! No problem.’

‘You know, all of a sudden, I fancy an indoor picnic,’ Conor said.

‘Erm,’ Tammy squirmed.

‘Yep. In we go.’
