Chapter Two

Sunny looked around the room, trying her hardest to lock down her nerves. She’d bet it was a losing game.

Still, they’d said yes. Silver’s words came back to her, the promise in them, and she had to admit… It excited her as much as it terrified her, because she was afraid he’d prove the opposite to her.

After he’d agreed, he’d led her to a private room in the back of the club, the other two following close behind. They’d passed a man with a band on his arm in bright red that said ‘security’, who had checked with her before allowing them to pass.

She’d had to say she was going with them because she wanted to, that she wasn’t intoxicated, that she understood the club safe word of ‘red’ applied and knew that she could use that word at any time and security would intervene if needed.

It made her feel slightly more comfortable.

Not that safe words had done anything for her before. She recalled trying them in the past withhim, with the man who had put so much fear into her, and how it had only made him laugh.

Still, at least the security seemed to take it seriously.

The room had a flimsy pocket door, likely so it could be heard through.

Silver was still as intimidating as ever. When she’d walked behind him, she’d realized he had short, dark hair.Black was lean, similar in build to Silver but a little shorter, whereas Gold stood out as huge, his build reminding her of a bear.

Gold had a bag slung over his shoulder, and Sunny recalled thebagher ex had brought out when he’d wanted to play.

It had never meant anything good, and she struggled to tear her gaze away from it.

“Relax,” Silver said, showing he was watching her closely. “You want to come see what’s in here?”

Her ex had never allowed her that option… He’d liked to play games, to see how anxious he could make her, to let that fear grow and simmer and worsen.

Silver held his hand out, and after a deep breath, Sunny placed hers in his. He tugged her closer, sliding an arm around her waist. The touch was innocent, but she felt it through her clothing, through her layers of defense.

Gold set the bag on the bed, then unzipped it for her.

The reason for Silver’s arm around her became clear when she tried to take a big step backward, as if the things inside the bag might jump out and bite her.

“Easy now,” Silver said, grip solid. “Anything you don’t like in there, we won’t use.”

She cast him a side glance. That hadn’t been her experience. If her ex ever knew she hated something, that was the thing he’d end up going to the most. Weaknesses were the sort of thing a smart person kept to themselves.

Gold let out a rough sound, one of displeasure, but Sunny didn’t bother to try and decipher it. “Take everything out. Anything you’re okay with, put on the bed. Anything you’re not sure about, put on the nightstand. Anything you don’t want us to use, put back in the bag.”

Sunny remained still for a while, unable to force herself to do anything. In the past, that would signal defiance, would enrage her ex. Instead, the three men stayed in place as though they had nowhere else to go and all the time in the world. Eventually, that gave her the courage to continue. She took all the items out first, not looking directly at anything as she dumped them on the bed. There wasn’t as much as she’d expected, but that didn’t stop the overwhelming feeling as she looked at them all.

Some were easy. The whip went back in, as did a flogger and a paddle. She couldn’t seem to breathe right until they were out of sight.

When none of the men intervened, when they didn’t immediately grab those things to use, she grew bolder.

The vibrator went on the bed. A dildo went beside it. Nipple clamps went on the nightstand, a butt plug into the bag. A silver tool that reminded her of a small pizza cutter but with spikes instead of a sharp edge made her pause.

Black reached for it, so she placed it in his palm. He held his arm out and ran the points over his skin. “Wartenberg wheel. It creates a prickling sensation but won’t break the skin.” He gave it back, and she repeated the same action on her own arm.

It was odd, a sharp feeling that stirred something warm inside her. Still, she pictured how hard it could be pressed, the damage it could do…

Into the bag it went, which had Gold making a soft huff.

Gold didn’t talk much, but that didn’t stop him from making his opinions known.

Sunny went through the rest of the items, placing them in the piles, mostly based on how much pain they could inflict. Anything that had the potential to hurt, she put in the nope bag.

At the end, only a few items sat on the bed. Cuffs, spreaders, vibrators, a dildo, a box that seemed to have some sort of strange vibrator in it, a mask, a gag.
