“No, no, he's not,” Rayne argued. “Dear Darren might be a human but he's older than me by like a hundred and fifty years.”

“Oh right,” I paused, thinking about that for a moment. “I forgot because you look like such a dumb-ass punk.”

“You really need to stop watching cable television,'' Allister muttered. “You're losing all of your aristocratic upbringing.”

I shrugged. “It wasn't that great when I was alive, why do I need it now?”

“What about you Marcus? What do you think?” Rayne asked, interrupting our conversation.

Marcus sat on the edge of his bed drinking from the blood canister. “Well my heart tells me that it will be me but my head tells me it is more likely to be Wynn.”

“Jesus fuck,” I cried out, throwing myself back on the couch. “What the fuck is so great about Wynn? Why does he get all the women?”

The man himself was about to answer when there was a loud thud from the front door slamming shut and then Piper's voice screaming for us to get up there.

I blinked up at the ceiling. “Sounds like Angelica's home and not happy.”
