Unfortunately, my brain was turning into pasta, and I couldn’t overthink it now.

I was just on the cusp of an orgasm when the house phone we had in case of emergencies rang.

Darren paused mid-thrust.

“Don’t you dare stop.” I gasped, shifting my hips against him. “They didn’t answer my calls. They can damn well leave a message.”

“Could be important.” Darren stared through the wall as if he could see through it to the kitchen where the phone sat.

“So’s this,” I gripped his ass with my hands, my nails digging into his flesh as I urged him further inside of me.

The answering machine finally picked up.

“Hey, it’s me.” Allister’s voice came through the walls muffled but there. “We had to ditch the phones. I’ll be coming around in a couple of days.” There was a pause and talking that I couldn’t pick up before Allister said, “My brother says to stop worrying so much. See you soon. Everyone sends their love. Bye.”

“See?” Darren peered down at me with a soft smile. “Nothing to worry about.”

I squeezed his ass once more. “I’m not worried. Were you worried?”

Laughing, Darren mercifully began to move once more. I gasped as he hit something deep inside of me, our bodies swaying and rocking with each other. I closed my eyes tight against the onslaught of pleasure, my head tilted back as I moaned.

“Look at me, Piper,” Darren commanded, lifting a hand to my face. “See me. I want to know you are thinking of me while I’m right here,” he thrust hard enough to bring a gasp from my throat, “inside of you. No one else.”

“Oh, I couldn’t forget.” I breathed out, wrapping my legs around his waist. “Now show me what those extra muscles you’ve been hiding can do.”

“It is my pleasure to serve you, Miss Billings,” Darren smirked at me, before he picked up the pace, shifting his angle so that he hit the spot inside of me over and over again until I was falling to pieces beneath him. Darren came shortly after me, grunting as he stilled in my arms before collapsing next to me on the mattress.

“You know,” I said, curled up next to him. “You technically are a Durand.”

Darren kissed my shoulder. “So? My words still stand true.”

I giggled. “Yeah. I guess you’re right.” I shifted closer to him, pulling my lower lip into my mouth. “So, want to stick it to the Durands one more time?”

Chuckling, Darren leaned in to kiss me. “Only one?”

Pressing my mouth to his, I murmured, “I suppose I could do it a few more times. One for each of them.”

Darren smiled against my mouth. “Sounds like a plan to me.”
