Doing as I say, I place the blanket over her body and head for hot water. Needing to be cleansed of my sins so she’s not constantly reminded of who I am.

After a quick shower, I climb back into bed and pull Noelle’s sleeping body on top of me. Her legs are on either side of my hips, her head is resting over my heart, and my cock is nestled between her swollen lips. Slipping one hand into her hair and the other on her ass, I don’t let her go all night.

Waking up in the morning, I have never felt so rested. So invigorated. Noelle is precisely what I’ve been missing in my life.

Chapter7

Holden

“Good morning.” I grin as I see my parents walk in, my dad giving Sawyer a piggyback ride. I haven’t seen that since I was a kid.

“You’re up early,” he says as he places Sawyer on a stool at the counter where I have a plate of pancakes and eggs waiting for him.

“I am. Got some shit to plan today.” Watching Sawyer dig into his food, he appears more relaxed than I’ve ever seen him. As my parents grab their coffee, I hand Sawyer a glass of milk. “How would you feel about shopping for your new room today?”

His head pops up to stare at me before he nervously asks, “New room?” I can see tears forming and rush to reassure him.

“You and Noelle are moving.” Not calling her his mom is more challenging than I thought. I can’t imagine how she’s felt over all these years.

His gaze drops to his plate as his fingers fidget with his fork. “We aren’t going back home?” The faint words are neutral, and I look back at my parents, who appear concerned.

“No. Seth and Karen are gone now.” I’m not a liar, but I refuse to tell this kid that the parents he's always known have been murdered by the new one he’s about to acquire. He doesn’t need me to fuck up his life any earlier than necessary.

“They can’t hurt Noelle anymore?” he confirms, and I nod. “Does that mean I can call her mom now?”

Leaning forward on the counter, I meet his stare. “What do you mean, Sawyer?”He can’t know, can he?

He shrugs. “I heard them one night when I was five. He wanted Noelle to take me away; she wouldn’t let him. They said Noelle is my real mommy.” His eyes lower again, but I catch the tears; he wants it to be true.

If I tell him, will I only fuck him up even more? Or will it bring him the peace I know Noelle would feel at finally being able to claim him?

Scrubbing a hand down my jaw, I walk around to sit next to him. With a nod to my parents, they leave us alone.

“You’re too grown-up for your age, kid.” It happens all too often with children in this day and age. “Would you be upset if Noelle were your mom?”

He shakes his head but won’t look up at me. “She loves me. She takes care of me. Does all the things my friends' moms do. I want her to be my mom.” He wipes his nose with the sleeve of his shirt as he sniffles.

“Look at me, Sawyer.” I wait until his head lifts. “Noelle is your mom. She always has been.”

“That’s why she stayed when she could have moved out?” I nod. “It’s why she always insisted he hit her and not me?” I hate how wise this kid is. I nod again. “She’s the best mom in the world.”

“I couldn’t agree more, kid.” Noelle is the most selfless person I’ve ever met, and I have no doubt she’s about to become even more remarkable because she will be free to claim the family she should have had sooner.

“Want to go wake her?” His eyes light up at the question, and he nods. Turning my back to him, I tell Sawyer to hop on. As soon as I’ve got him secure, we head to my old room and the woman sleeping soundly in my bed.

Opening the door quietly, she’s exactly as I left her—curled up on her side, one leg peeking out of the thick blanket. Carrying Sawyer closer, I let him slide down onto the mattress, where he crawls up to lay in front of her.

“Mom,” he whispers, touching her nose with a finger. “It’s time to wake up, Mom. Holden says we get to go shopping for my new room!” Now that he knows where his place in Noelle’s life is, he has more confidence. “Mom,” he calls a little louder, and Noelle’s eyes pop open to see him lying there.

“Good morning,” she murmurs, a smile slowly spreading across her swollen lips.

Shit.

I can feel my dick growing and turn to adjust it, not wanting the boy to notice just how much I enjoy fucking his mother.

“Morning, Mom!” Sawyer gets up to his knees and bounces, missing the look of shock and terror on her face. Her eyes slide to me quickly before they’re back on Sawyer.

“He knew,” I say, and I see the fear in her eyes about how he found out. “Overheard a conversation between the other two that was not meant for his ears.” I sit on the bed at her hip, Sawyer moving in close to me.
