“Tibi serviant mihi,”Damon whispers in my ear.
A chill runs down my spine as an icy sensation flows through me. I feel my body responding to him, almost as if I’m aroused. And it pisses me off.
I glare at him and open my mouth, ready to tell him off.
“Remember, if you can’t say something nice…” he teases.
“You’re an asshole. And I took Latin in high school.” I say. I might not remember it all, but I get the gist.
The class is crowding around us now, asking questions and moving in to stare at me as if I’ve grown another head or something. It was already weird enough being the new girl. Now I get to be a walking experiment.
“What are you going to make her do?” Someone asks.
“Come to my party tonight and find out,” he says. The class whoops and I see Professor Lee smiling. She’s enjoying this. She’s fucking crazy. They all are.
Damon’s lips brush against my ear. “Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you.”
“Why don’t I believe that?” I ask.
He just smirks at me and I shake my head. A bell rings and the crowd around us scatters, packing up their stuff.
“Party tonight,” Damon calls after the class as they file out.
Reluctantly, I grab the book that the other twin gave me and make my way to the door.
“I’ll meet you at dinner,” Damon calls after me as I bolt out the door. I ignore him, knowing that I won’t have any choice in that later tonight. At least I have a minor break with a class right now.
Students fill the hallway, flowing in both directions and I freeze, realizing I have no idea where I’m going. Sadie told me to ask the professor for help, but that’s the last thing I want to do. The less I have to deal with Professor Lee, the better. The woman is clearly a psycho. I can’t trust her to show me the correct direction. For all I know, she’d send me to a monster pit or something. Who knows what they have here.
I glance at my schedule and see that my second class of the day is divination in the observatory. Someone bumps into me and my schedule flutters to the ground.
Quickly, I lean down to pick it up and as soon as my hands close in around it, I’m shoved out of the way until I slam into the wall. Two girls pin me in, standing in front of me with vicious grins.
Em and Tasha. Of course, they’re friends.
“You’re already making waves, little angel,” Em says. “Tasha says you were on her turf.”
I lift my eyebrow and resist the urge to laugh. “Her turf?”
“Making a move on her man,” Em says. “You’re dumber than I thought.”
I laugh. “The asshole in my hallway? Liam, was it?”
“I told you, he’s mine,” Tasha says.
“And I told you, keep him,” I say.
She glares at me. “Then why is he going around telling everyone you two fucked last night?”
I roll my eyes. “Because he’s an asshole who is clearly trying to piss you off.”
Em adjusts her posture, folding her arms over her chest. “So you didn’t?”
“Why would I?” I asked. “First of all, I don’t sleep with people I just met. Second, I don’t date assholes.”
