There was a lot of ceremony and protocol I never knew existed, but it made me happy to hear.
“How is that announcement made, exactly?” I asked.
“You’ll call all the alphas for a meeting. There you’ll greet them as the queen,” Horace explained.
“That’s all just ceremonial, though, right?” I asked.
“Are you wondering if you’re already the queen?” Spencer asked.
“Pretty much,” I said.
“Yes, but it’s a long-standing tradition and I’d caution you against choosing that as the first change during your reign,” he said.
“I’m not thinking of changing it,” I said. “I’m wondering if I can pay a visit to my old pack before we send out the official word.”
“Oh, I see. You’d like to share the good news with them first. Yes, that could be arranged,” Horace said.
“I’m sure that’s exactly what she has in mind,” Alec said, not hiding his sarcasm. “We get to come with you, right?”
“I wouldn’t have you miss it for the world,” I replied.
