RYLEE

Rylee fell against Gage’s chest, feeling her heart thundering against her breastbone. Her skin was beaded with sweat, and her breathing was so fast that she couldn’t even think.

Not that she wanted to. She’d had fun in bed before. She was good at asking for what she needed and loved pleasing her partner, but it had never been like this.

It was as if she could feel everything that Gage felt. When she looked into his eyes, she saw so much adoration and appreciation there, it made her feel humble, maybe even shy, but it did something else to her too.

It made her feel strong and beautiful. It made her feel like a warrior goddess, powerful and gorgeous. A being that could conquer worlds if she chose to. That feeling of absolute power came from the way Gage looked at her, the way he touched her with complete respect…even reverence.

Because I conquered him. This massive, gorgeous, strong man is mine to do whatever I want with.

Her arms tightened on his shoulders as she shivered against him. She had never been so excited in her entire life, the force of her arousal obliterating thought and common sense. There was something wild here. Something that made her think of patterned sunlight filtering through the high trees of a forest and little grassy glades where animals roamed free.

Again, she had that sensation that she was inside Gage’s head. At this moment, with their bodies locked together, it wasn’t scary at all. It felt completely natural for both of them to have their hearts and minds utterly as one.

Rylee felt her arousal die down just a little. She was waiting for it to go away, but it looked like that was never going to happen. She had a feeling that she was always going to be aroused around Gage.

That could be awkward.

Rylee giggled to herself, almost not recognizing her own happy thoughts. She hadn’t felt this way in such a long time…free of worry and doubt. Her ankle didn’t even hurt.

Gage reached up and stroked her arms gently. She folded her arms across his chest and put her chin on them so she could look into his eyes.

“Would you like some breakfast?” he whispered. His soft, sultry voice was dripping with warmth, and to Rylee, it was the sexiest thing she had ever heard.

“I’d love some,” she said. Her stomach growled quietly, but Gage heard it and chuckled.

“How do you like your coffee?” he asked. He reached up and stroked her hair, running his fingertips down her cheek. Rylee had never felt so safe or so comfortable.

“Hmm,” she muttered, running her hands over his chest. “Fairly strong and sweet. Only a little milk.”

“What are you hungry for?” he asked.

Your cock.

“Something with lots of protein. Most of the time, I can’t stomach sweet stuff in the morning. Do you think you can rustle up some bacon and eggs?”

“Your will, my hands, my lady,” he said. Rylee smiled. She knew it was supposed to be a light joke, but it struck her through to the bone.

It’s a joke, but it’s also the truth.

“I guess I should let you get up,” she said while grinning. Rylee leaned on his chest a little to make her point.

“No rush,” Gage said, putting his hands behind his head. “I’m quite comfortable.”

She giggled. “I must admit, I am too, but my stomach might start eating itself soon.”

Rylee sat up slowly, still straddling Gage. She stretched, playing with her hair a little and making her breasts bounce. She cracked open one eyelid, seeing his enraptured expression as he stared at her. She couldn’t stop the satisfied smile that stretched across her face.

As she stood, she turned her back on Gage to find her dress. She had no idea where it might be. Gage had better luck…his pants were in a pile by the couch where he’d left them. She resisted the urge to watch him dress as she finally found her clothes on the arm of the couch.

“Here,” Gage said as she slipped the dress on. She turned around to see him holding a gray sweater. She took it gratefully.

“It’s a bit small for me,” he said. “It might fit. If you need it, of course.”

Rylee pulled the sweater over her head, glad to be a bit warmer and more casual. She didn’t fancy doing the walk of shame through the city streets in her tiny leather and lace number.

“I’ll be right back,” Gage said, kissing her softly. Rylee sat on the couch, trying not to think too hard.
