“Yeah. That boy must have had a police escort to get across town so damn fast.”
“I didn’t know that.”
“Yep. You want a bottle of water?” he offered, moving behind the bar.
“Yes, please, and thank you for doing this.”
“No problem. Room 101 is all yours tonight.”
I took the bottle he handed me and my bag and went upstairs to wait. I looked at the messages he was sending.
Are you ok?
Damn it, Paisley, answer me.
Shaking my head, I took mercy on him and sent another text.
I’m fine. I’m safe. Come find me. <3
When his meeting ended at four, I knew he’d be on his way, so I stripped out of my dress, folding it and putting it on the chair in the corner. I grabbed the flogger and the riding crop from the cabinet. Already I could imagine the strikes against my skin and my body came alive with need. My panties were already getting damp with the knowledge that he would soon be here.
I pressed the record and the system button on the small remote then moved them back to the cabinet. After that, I took my place kneeling at the foot of the bed where he’d see me the second he walked in the door.
Liam had taught me a lot over the few months we’d been together. He’d taught me how to let go of my worries and fears of being accepted by him or anyone else. He taught me how to give him pleasure and take pleasure for myself.
He might not have been my Professor at school, but he’d definitely been my teacher in our life together. I loved him, and I couldn’t wait to share our news.
My nerves danced and hummed as we waited, it felt like forever, but it really was no more than the ten-minute drive from his office to the club.
When I heard the lock on the door, I bowed my head and got in position, the flogger and crop laid out on the floor in front of me.
Epilogue Two
Liam
When her first text came through during my meeting, I was amused, but when she stopped answering, I grew concerned. Paisley was good about letting me know where she was going. My first thought was that she was with Maddox and Lexi, but a quick text to them told me that wasn’t the case.
I left the meeting a few minutes early, telling them something important had come up. It was important because Paisley was everything to me. She was making me wait until after the holidays for us to get married. It wasn’t what I wanted, but I understood her reasoning behind it.
She wanted to finish her first semester before getting married, and she didn’t want to be planning a wedding while she was going through finals, so I agreed to wait, though a service at the courthouse would have sufficed for me.
When I pulled into my driveway, her car wasn’t in its normal spot. I was trying not to be alarmed, but dammit, she wasn’t where she was supposed to be.
I grabbed my phone and called Maddox, “Yeah.”
“I need to put that damn app on my phone to find her. If Paisley isn’t with you and Lexi, where is she?”
Maddox laughed. “Lost your woman again. Maybe you need to put a collar on her.” He laughed, but then grunted ouch. Lexi must have hit him in the stomach for that little remark.
“Just tell me where she is bonehead,” I grumbled, pulling back onto the street and heading for the neighborhood exit.
Maddox started laughing, “She’s at the same place she was last time she got ‘lost’.”
“Thanks.” I hung up the phone and headed for Club Deviance. The only reason I wasn’t pissed off was because I knew the club was closed. If she was there, she would be the only one besides Damian, and he damn sure wouldn’t touch my woman.
I smiled to myself the whole way there. My little subby wanted to play tonight, and leading me on a chase was the way she made that happen. I breathed in a deep breath. My cock was like an iron rod in my slacks. Since I had a meeting today, I had on a long-sleeved white shirt that I rolled up my forearms.
I forced myself to go the speed limit. Anticipation made everything sweeter for both of us. My mind was already imagining ways to take her tonight and make her scream my name with pleasure.
