I raised a brow, pressing my lips together so I didn’t burst out laughing at her excitement. She was so cute, as different from her brother in personality as she was in looks.

“He doesn’t like it, but sometimes doing things I know he doesn’t like is the only way to grab his attention,” I told her.

Lachlan’s arm tightened around me, his face lowering to the side of my head.

Saoirse gasped. “Are you kidding me? My brother’s not giving you enough attention? Has he seen you? Dude, bro, if you don’t pay attention to your girl, someone else will take the job. What are you even thinking?”

Lachlan pulled the phone away from me, snarling at his sister. “All right. Enough. I will call you later.”

She giggled. “If I didn’t make trouble, what would be my purpose?”

The transformation from grumpy older brother to indulgent sibling was swift and complete. Lachlan’s eyes and smile went soft.

“Love you, baby girl.”

She sniffed once. “Love you too. Bye, Elena.”

“Bye, Saoirse,” I said softly.

Lachlan hung up, tucking his phone away, and turned to me. He dragged a finger along the bare skin under my arm, tracing the side of my breast, slipping under the fabric to tease my nipple.

“Is this for me?” he asked.

“It’s for me.”

He pinched my nipple a little harder than I liked. “You’re trying to get my attention.”

“Yes,” I admitted.

“Are you trying to get someone else’s attention?”

“Just yours.”

He squeezed my breasts, rubbing his thumb over the taut peak. “Then send me a picture. Knock on my door. Wear this on your deck. If this is for me, then only give it to me. You want my attention, you have it now. But I think I warned you what would happen if you came out here half naked again.”

I leaned into him, already slick between my thighs. “I’m in trouble.”

“Yes.” He slid his hand out of my tank, gripping my nape. “Take me to your room.”

I never would have let anyone else tell me what to do, but it came naturally with Lachlan. Besides, weren’t these the results I’d been craving? I knew I’d be punished for acting out. I’d been looking forward to it.

Inside my bedroom, Lachlan closed the door and twisted the lock. I stood beside my bed, doing my level best to look contrite, even as my stomach brimmed with anticipation.

I wasn’t the least bit sorry. Maybe I would be when he was finished with me, but something told me I wouldn’t be.

Lachlan kicked his boots off and took a seat on the edge of my bed, patting his lap. I started to sit, but he caught me, turning me around.

“Head and shoulders on the bed, stomach on my legs, ass in the air.” There was nothing hard about his orders, nothing scary or mean. He used his regular, rugged tone and looked at me like he wanted me, not like he wanted to hurt me.

That had me scrambling to comply, trying to position myself just right. His groan when I was in place told me he liked me this way, spread out on him, helpless to his mercy.

He pushed my top up, exposing my back. Rough fingers trailed down my spine to the waistband of my shorts. Hooking his fingers, he pulled my bottoms down in slow motion, giving me ample opportunity to protest. Or maybe he was doing what he did best: edging me to the point of insanity.

“No panties, Ellie? Goddamn, are you a bad, bad girl. Showing offmytits, myass, mypussy to every undeserving little shit who walks by.” He gave my butt a light swat. “You want my attention, I’ll give it to you. But you have to ask for it the right way.”

“I always want your attention.”

He smoothed his palm down the length of my back to the swell of my ass, gripping a cheek and giving it a jiggle. My mind was whirring, deciding if I liked that, when the first real slap rained down on my right cheek. Jerking from surprise more than pain, it took me a moment to relax again. When I did, I was gifted with a slap on my other cheek.
