He lifted his shirt up her body and over her head. She had pulled it on when she got out of bed, loving that it smelled like Slater. It was all that she was wearing, making taking her again easy. He pulled down his boxer briefs, letting his cock spring free between them and she straddled his lap, allowing him to slide into her already wet pussy. God, he felt good. It had been so long since she had been with a man like that and having Slater inside of her felt right.

Rainey rode him, loving the feeling of being on top and in charge. “Slater,” she moaned. “I’m so close.” He reached his hand down between where the two of them were joined and rubbed the pad of his thumb over her clit. It felt like her body caught on fire and before she knew it, she was floating on a cloud, shouting out his name. He lost himself deep inside of her and she collapsed onto his chest, her body heaving, trying to catch her breath.

“That was—” she didn’t finish her thought, not wanting to sound cheesy by saying that sex was incredible, but it was.

“I know,” he whispered, kissing his way down the crook of her neck. “I feel the same way.”

“So, you want a key?” she asked, going back to their conversation before he got her naked.

“Yes,” he said without hesitation. “I want the fucking key. I told you, Rain, I’ll take whatever you can give me, but I’ll be an ass and push you for more. You need to know that.” She knew Slater well enough to know that was the truth. He’d push her for more than she knew she was willing to give, but he was usually right.

“Good,” she said. “I think that it’s good for someone to push me out of my comfort zone,” she said.

“Well, then, we’ll be a perfect match, honey,” he said. She stood and pulled back on his shirt, loving the way that he watched her. Rainey grabbed a mug and poured herself a cup of coffee from the pot that he made.

“You know whose car that is?” she asked, nodding to the dark sedan just outside her kitchen window. It was sitting in the alley back behind her driveway. Not many cars went back there since the road was a dead end.

Slater stood and looked out of the window. “No,” he breathed. “You’ve never seen it before?” he asked. “Maybe it’s one of your neighbors.”

“No,” she said, “none of my neighbors have a car like that.”

“There’s no one in it,” he said. “I’ll have my friend run the tags and see what he can come up with. One of your neighbors might have company, but if you see it again, let me know.”

“All right,” she agreed. She wasn’t convinced that it belonged to any of her neighbor’s friends either. She had never seen it before and if it was a friend staying over, she would have noticed it before, right? Probably not with the kids running around getting ready for school. She was usually in a time crunch every morning, getting three kids to school and keeping her toddler happy.

“We need to get back to Beck’s place,” she said. Rainey was sad about having to end their date. She wished she could spend the day in bed with Slater, but she knew that her responsibilities were waiting for her and probably driving their aunt crazy by now.

“Can I come back tonight?” he asked.

“I’d like that. Jack, Jr. usually falls asleep by eight-thirty. How about sneaking in at nine?”

“Sounds good,” he said. “Pick a movie and we can finally have our movie date.” That was probably one of the most romantic things she’d ever heard—Slater was going to try to give her a date night even if she couldn’t leave her house. He was working around her family, and that made her fall for him just a little bit more.

“I’d like that,” she admitted.

“Good, I’ll see you at nine then,” he promised. “Do you mind if I grab a shower?” he asked.

“Not at all,” she said. “As long as you don’t mind me joining you.”

He pulled her against his body, “Showering alone is overrated,” he teased, tugging her along with him up the stairs. She had a feeling that she’d never get tired of Slater pushing her for more, she just wondered how much more he’d want from her.

Slater and Rainey got back to the penthouse at about eleven, and her poor sister looked about ready to drop. “They get up early,” Beck grumbled.

“Hey,” Knox said, wrapping an arm around her belly, “I got up early with them to let you get some extra sleep.”

“Well, then, they’re loud,” Beck grouched. “I’d like to say that I’m ready for all of this, but I don’t know that I am,” she said, rubbing her belly.

“By the time this little guy gets here, you will be,” Rainy promised, rubbing her hand over her sister’s tummy. “You’ll get the hang of being a mom pretty quickly. You’re already a fantastic auntie,” she assured.

“Thanks, Sis,” Beck said. “They’ve been fed, watered, and are playing video games in the game room.”

“Thanks for keeping them,” Rainey said. “It was nice to have a night off.”

“I’d say any time, but I’m going to need a few weeks to recover,” Beck teased.
